all you have to do is PM skoo, asking very nicely to join:

"the cause of the sexy jams" because the confessional is great or words to that effect.

then you just have to wait to be accepted - this stops the spambunnies from shiting up that area.

Sorry I'm a bit of a newbie i've only been here since January. how does the confessional work (i fear i may have a lot to confess)?

the confessional has alot going on (or at least will do)

- sermons with public discussion (on things from terrorism to cookies),

- contests for images, music and writting where you can win not only rupees but actual prizes,

- the bibble; official holy book,

- the famous "God knows all" thread in which all your questions will be answered.

- Confess: where you can confess to all your sins and seek retribution. Any problems, real or surreal will be dealt with. Think Scram and kats house of pain with God giving advise (and scrambled, hes in my team)

and if things go as well as last time;

- guest sermons: other forumites invited to take centre stageand deliver a sermon on a topic of their choice

- interveiws: get to ask "celebs" questions (im working on this already - details next week)

- meets: simple, we all meet up and dance, or not

Got alot planned but it needs suport, hopefully as much as last time.

if people would like the confessional on the front page along with media/games/music/HOCAS like the olden days al I can suggest is either posting here with good reason or PM me and I'll tally names.

It will work fine in the Jams, but will take a few days to get up and running.

Hmm, would there be any way to set up the confessional between the two usergroups? That way you'd have to be in one or the other to be in it, and yams and jams could coexist in the common purpose of worshipping FMHS.. 'tis a silly idea and I doubt it would work but it would be nice.

Its not really fair that we can't be in both usergroups.. I can understand the reasons for keeping it segregated, but I mean, for people like me or the gods who have been part of the cause since the beginning, we can't just give that up because we're too involved in what happen to the cause, but because we dedicate so much to that usergroup we're missing out on the advantages of being in the other (such as the confessional). I don't think everyone should be allowed in both... but maybe if they meet certain requirements or have a good argument for being in both, or something. I dunno.

Why couldn't you just move the Confessional and put it it's own little area of the forum. Gets rid of the problems of joining/leaving usergroups and everyone gets to kiss the hand of God

If it doesnt work, then we'll look into other ways - or I'll just give it up because tbh Im not that bothered about it.

the reason Im doing it again is because of popular demand, but it seems silly if the people that want it cant have it so I'll just pack it in.

If it works very well, it may be moved. all the more reason to get there and make it good.

for the time being, the confessional is a part of the jams.

members of the jams could argue that they miss out on all the role play and shenanigans that happens in the yams.

but they don't.

the annoying thing about life is that sometimes we can't have things both ways.

this is one of those things, I'm afraid.

and for the record I had nothing to do with the confessional being Jams-only.

I don't see the point in adding to jams the confessional when it is nothing to do with jams, I also think the Father should have the right to place where he thinks it should go, if he thinks should go in the jams then I suppose it is fair.

Can it not just be in the usergroup category available to both usergroups but not anybody outside a usergroup if it's going to be inside a usergroup, it just being in the jams means almost half the forum won't be able to see it without the yams dieing, which I shan't let happen. provided I can stop it

The Father's already said what needs to be said in the thread in our Cause. He's explained the situation and said there's nothing he can do, though if it works out we might see a move in the future.

I want to see the confessional as much as you do, but saying the same arguments over and over again isn't going to get us anywhere, however valid they may be. We've expressed our views, now all we can do is wait.
