"Someday"

How the hell did we wind up like this (like what???)
Why weren't we able
To see the signs that we missed (umm coz you missed them????)
And try to turn the tables

I wish you'd unclench your fists
And unpack your suitcase
Lately there's been too much of this
Dont think its too late (to do what!!!!!!)

Nothin's wrong (then why is this song still going on?)
just as long as
you know that someday I will (will what??)

Someday, somehow
gonna make it allright but not right now (umm then when????)
I know you're wondering when (how did he guess?)
Someday, somehow
gonna make it allright but not right now
I know you're wondering when (you said this already¡Ä¡Ä)

Well i hoped that since we're here anyway (where?)
We could end up saying
Things we've always needed to say ( umm then why didn¡Çt you
So we could end up stringing (stringing what??????)
Now the story's played out like this
Just like a paperback novel (why not hard back cheapskates?)
Lets rewrite an ending that fits
Instead of a Hollywood horror

Nothin's wrong
just as long as
you know that someday I will (I¡Çve said it will what???)

Someday, somehow
gonna make it allright but not right now
I know you're wondering when
(You're the only one who knows that)
Someday, somehow
gonna make it allright but not right now
I know you're wondering when
(Jesus you said this¡Ä)

(And it repeats¡Ä)

i just dont get it it doesnt make sence!!!!!
did this happen to you b4??

a lot of trippy beatles songs were nonsensical drug induced madness.

Sometimes songs lose their appeal to me slightly after i find out what theyre about or what the lyrics are

I'm quite the opposite. I like to try and find out what the songs are trying to say through the lyrics, I think you get to appreciate the music much more then.

Sometimes it's good to be in the dark about a song's lyrics, and other times it's better to know.

An example that strikes me recently is Elbow's song 'Switching Off' from their new album 'A Cast of Thousands'.

Without understanding the lyrics it's a pretty beautiful and emotional song. When you discover it's actually about having to turn off the life support on a loved one with no hope of recovery, it becomes devastatingly powerful.
