3 years old in september and still does the job beautifully. Just upgraded the graphics, memory, replaced the fans (for silent ones) and OS... still has an AGP motherboard though, i'm not made of money!

The 'beast' is cannibalised from several different computers and sources. Here is a list.
Monitor is from the computer you can just about see behind it. (Gateway 2000 with a 333mhz processor).
Keyboard is a thieved job from my Dad's office.

everything else inside the computer has been borrowed permanently from my friend, with whom I cut out the side panel and replaced with perspex when I was 15
Ethernet card is the only thing I bought, and that was for a fiver.

Whilst 'doing work' I can 'research' stuff from a web page into a document. Right at this moment I'm watching The Wicker Man. Plus it gives me a reason to use sexy wallpapers.

Wickerman is a hilarious movie. I've though about getting dual monitors, but it looks kind of silly with the bars splitting your screen right down the middle.. Right now I think I'll opt for a big widescreen LCD.. Dell 24" monitor can be bought on ebay for about 650 CAD right now... or should I give a dual-monitor display more thought?

It really is dependant on what you want to use it for. If it'll mostly be gaming and movie watching, a single large screen would be best, whereas for graphical work etc 2 smaller monitors would be better.

I used to have a pair of 18" flat screens until they both broke, it was useful, but I would personally prefer a single large widescreen
