um, floss. just so you know, people prefer you to type properly on these forums and we do love it when people proofread their posts. so if you could try not to stray too much into text talk, that'd be great :)

what genre of music are Maroon5? i hate it when i hear of a band i've not heard of (unluckily, it happens almost every day)

Ah fibbles, Maroon 5 are quite maintstream, I'm sure you'll have heard of them at some point. I think they're trés groovy, they're really easy listening and their new songs fun to dance to :D

I like their more jazzy stuff like sunday morning. The album does grow on you though.
As snoon said they are easy listening and good quality easy listening at that.
Although my prefrence for easy listening leans more towards stuff like buddha bar.

nah - pop, pop, pop, pop, pop. Just not Britney-style, but still pop. the inclusion of guitars doesn't instantly make it rock :p

I think they're good. The guitaring and stuff sounds good and they've got a good singer, but when he sings he looks well silly.

Maroon 5 are one of the only new wave of pop rock that i like, i think their songs are catchy in a nice way and the innocences of their lyrics is cool!
Well, they are no motorhead but i like them, YaY for Maroon 5!

I like them, especially the song This Love, although the video is really annoying.

really? I quite like the clip, except when it all starts flashing at you and makes you dizzy :)

I really like Maroon 5. As people said earlier their music is easy to listen to and catchy, and their lyrics are pretty smooth as well. My favourites are probably Harder to Breathe and This Love, as they are the ones I have heard the most. They arn't bad lookers either ;)

It's not very often I hear something that really catches my ears and makes me want the CD,but today,I heard a song by them in a music shop and for the first time ever I asked "Excuse me,can you tell me what album this is please?" The guy told me,and handed me the CD case. I bought it straight away, without thinking. I was in two minds whether it would be good or not,I'd never really heard of them before, but as soon as I played it,I loved it!
Their album really is excellent ,the songs are extreamly catchy and I love the style! I think they will stick around, for atleast awhile, enough to get over played by radio stations anyway :p

the ax man [the one wearing a 'Nebraska' shirt on the cd i believe] went to the same school as my co-worker.

Nothing special, just glad to see more talent doing well, that is from this area [nebraska]

aye, this loves good, havent got their album or anything but based on this love you could hardly call them rock (more indie than anything:p ) but nevertheless, they seem a good band and i really like this love, hope their other songs are as good

They are good, from what I've heard and not annoying at all (unlike many other 'rock' pop bands suchs as GC or Busted and Avril who all make me want to shoot myself in the head.)

They're come out a tad inconspicuously and not as big as those examples and seeing as they're songs have some substance and are worth listening to, I reckon they'll be around for a while. :)

"I tried my best to feed her appetite
Keep her coming every night
So hard to keep her satisfied"

.....
Innocence I think not. ;)

And the singer clearly fancies himself in the video for "This Love", he rather does. The girl is merely a tool in his wooing of his own hot manliness.

also I cba.

YAY! MAROON5! Me like.

I was so high I did not recognize,
fire burning in her eyes,
chaos that controlled my mind . . .
Whispered goodbye as she got on a plane
Never to return again,
but always in my heart . . .

This Love has taken its toll, on me . . .

My favorite song (at the moment)

hadn't heard them yesterday. Friend played their album and being the Critic/appreciator that I am I started up a little debate.
I kinda found them to be quite annoying Pop-Rock verging into R&B. They aren't bad for Pop but not my cuppa tea. The Singer sounds Like Justin Timberlake trying to be Anthony Keidis which kind of annoyed me a little. It sounds like the sort of thing I would have heard when I was a little younger and liked, and then gone straight out and bought... only to find I didnt like it and they were in fact piss poor.
Then I'd throw it onto my pile of embarrasment with Smashmouth.

They're definately not rock but I really dig their staccato sound. (Hurrah for my street jive! I'm down with the kids on the street)

In my opinion it is one of the worst tracks on the album. It sounds like an R.H.C.P cover gone wrong.
No?

"Harder to breather" was their last single, this love is the new one :D.
Oh and nice use of addicting.

Personally, i dislike Maroon 5, particularly the video for the first single. Goddamn, what a peice of egotistical crap.

The guy sings with his band, goes to a bed, begins to make out with a girl and leaves before reaching the stage we know as sex in order to sing with his band again. This cycle is repeated continously until i become pissed off at how this guy thinks he can leave a girl midway through "the clinch" to go and sing in his band, who are, all things considered, a lot more mediocre than sex.

I caught on late to Maroon 5, but I like 'This Love' and I now realise I've been hearing their first single everywhere and not realising it was them. Gonna buy the album next week most probably. I can't comment on the videos as I've briefly seen the second one and that's it - I get bored with the music channels, every one's exactly the same (grr to MTV Hits/MTV UK being identical!)
