ok, so arsenal won the league, chealsea are in the champions league semi's and man united are in the fa cup final. but wot annoys me is no one gives credit to the lower teams like charlton, birmingham and aston villa who have done amazingly well and made it the fantastic season it has been. :weebl: :weebl: :weebl: :

Only reason Fulham did so well is because of Saha, they sold him and dropped like a...dropping thing.

fulham are tere because at the begining of the season they were favourites to go down and chris coleman was the favourite to be sacked 1st but they hav done really well and are fighting 4 europe even without such advantages as still having saha.

Better than fulham "proving everyone wrong" or charlton "doing well without scott parker"
I refuse to vote for any of them.

Let me clear this up, for those who don't know. In the weebls-stuff section this guy made lots of threads which were either deleted or moved to the Crap Basket. Tusks posted in one of these threads saying that he should read the FAQ's.
This guy, being as observant as a dead mole, put two and two together and got 3. Now he thinks Tusks deletes his posts, hence the elephant boy comment.

*cough*...
So Fulham were top form, 4th place and doing so much better than anyone expected, sold Saha and starting losing all their games and picking the odd win here and there.
Malbranque isn't even that good. That's why Manure didn't buy him :p

I dont know what planet you come from but when you argue about something and state your evidence and argue your case then that is debating and malbranque is better than most football players and is very under rated, (which is quite good for fulham because he can keep playing world class and no-one will buy him, works for me!)

I hardly think that Fulham is a small team. Although Coleman has done better than everyone expected, and should be commended, Fulham themsleves are only filling their potential. The state the Premiership is in now, the three relegatees will pretty much always be the three promotees from Div1. Obviously this is not always the case, but it'll take an abnormal occurence, like administration to buck the trend.

Naaww. Bolton are good an all, but Rivaldo, no matter how bad he's playing, is in a different league. It would dampen his career more than anything. A world class player moving to a team thats in middle table in the premiership? Naw. It'll never happen.
He wanted to join us at liverpool, but we turned him down in the summer. Not because we dont ahve enough to pay his wages ....yeh.. >_>

he is world class, yes, but at the moment he isnt playing for any one and offers arnt exactly queing up for him. he said hes always dreamed of playing in the prem and bolton are a good club, with a brilliant manager and some fantastic players. rivaldo, okotcha and djorkief all in one team isnt bad.
just to answer back to mr zola person, i dont know if this is a chealsea-fulham thing, but marlbranque is a quality player and if he just keeps playing world class and no body thinks hes any good, then that works for me. at least he then wont go to man u and score against us.

They've still just a club trying to survive. They're buying experinced players in order to stay up, and try to build for the future. If it fails, they could get stung with the financial backlash.

It's nothing to do with a west end thing or your atrociously poor spelling. It's the fact that he's not good. You can't argue with that.
Fulham have next to no quality after selling Saha. Poor. Anyway, I like Fulham and Coleman so shut it :p

Van Der Sar ( one of the best keepers in the world), Luis Boa Morte ( portuguese player who will go to euro 2004), Moritz Voltz ( an incredibly young, talented player who has been a fantastic sighning), general defence ( one of the most clean sheets in the prem. look it up if you dont believe me), Steed Marlbranque ( one of the most amazing players i have ever seen. the things he can do with a ball are magic)

This isnt an argument or a debate, this is just contradiction.
An argument is the collective establishment of a number of points on either side of the debate, whereas contradiction is the automatic gainsaying of anything the other person says.
Fact of the matter is, there are plenty of better attacking midfielders playing in England at the moment than Malbranque, Danyy Murphy par exemple has more class in his left kneecap than Malbranque has in his entire body.
There are others, Kewell, Joe Cole, Reyes, when hes not playing up front, Pires, Lampard, Speed, etc. All far better players than Malbranque could hope to be.

DEAR GOD YOURE AN IDIOT.
I was in anfield watching football games 3 years before you were born. Infact, I was in Anfield when Liverpool beat Man Utd 4-0 in 1991, And i was playing it since before you were out of infant school, so fuck you do i know nothing about football.

And yes, obviously I am a liverpool fan, big freaking deal, you couldnt come across as being more of a fulham fan if you tried. However, if you noticed, i listed far more players from other teams than i did from liverpool.

although im a chelsea fan, i had to go for fulham, saha wasn't all that and fulham do have other quality players, refer to 2-0 victory over charlton on saturday for form. malbranque and boa morte are quality, davis has potential and i have respect for chris coleman. also the defence is relatively solid, goma volz and knight are good enough and vandersaar is quite cool.
but why aren't chelsea recalling forsell?? he is chelseas top scorer this season, thats why i couldnt vote for them.
villa have done well, but should have done, hitzlsberger, anel and vassel are quality attackers, jlsamuel has surprised me though, along with mellberg, and sorensen has been on good form this season.
davis(other one) has surprised me for bolton, okocha hasn't scored all season, and he has really pulled through.
what happened to rooney?? radzinski overshadowed the 'rising star', the press ruined him like owen (cmon baros) and beattie has dissapointed.
also, muzzy izzet is very good, chelsea made a mistake getting rid of him.
anyway, come on the gronkjaer, the crespo and the huth

(We met him through one of my dad's friends who works for the FA looking after the referees, and is incidentally a former ref himself.) He just literally walked out, signed an autograph for us, we had our photo taken and that was it. He was truly a good guy.
But yes, he is that imposing.

thank you to dr derrice who got this thread back to where it should be, about football! i think letting forssell go was a big mistake and i think he's a quality player. fulham have also done something stupid like that letting taylor go. if the rumours are true then van der sar will go in the summer and then who wil we have? mark crossley, o joy.
and to other stressheads, as i said earlier in this thread, every week fulham arnt at home or i havnt got a ticket to the away match then i watch brentford. every now and again i watch Arsenal and chealsea.my life revolves around football. all this for a 12 year old. i also play for fulham

i reckon the pfa team of the year was terrible, although i agree henry shouldve won player of year, and parker youth player, the actual player voted team of the year was bad.
they simply went for players from the best teams, howard and nistelrooy didnt deserve to be on there, neither did lauren.
obviously the players would probably know better though.

And stubby, One, Fulham would lose about 5-0 against Brazil. In fact that would be a good result. Two, Yes, Fulham have done bloody well this year. Kudos to Fulham. ut doing bloody well doesn't compare to Arsenal winning the premiership without losing a single game. You think it does because your a Fulham supporter, and seem to think your the only one that follows Fulham and their achivements and so nobody else could possibly comment.
if you really want an achivement, look at Brighton. A few years ago, they where in Division 3. Now they have already been in the first division once and are pressing for a secound time. All in about 3-4 years.

Im 18, im barely even halfway to middle age.
Ive been watching football since i was born, ive been playing football since i was 11, ive been to football coaching schools, ive met neville southall, tim sherwood (yeah i know who gives a monkis really?), ian rush. I have a signed football from the liverpool team, I have visited stadiums you will never even dream of going to, some youve probably never heard of. Ive been to the Millenium Stadium, the Stade de France, Lazio and Roma's stadium, Feyenoords stadium, PSV eindhoven's stadium, fiorentina's stadium, goodison, anfield, prenton park.

Yes, so true.
My friend's ex is a man utd 'fan'. When they were beaten my Man City 4-1 this year, she said, and i quote "I dont really support them anyway" When we challenged her that 2 days earlier she had claimed to be the biggest united fan in the world she told us to "fuck off".
After the mighty mighty reds beat united 1-0 at old trafford (gary neville we love you) i also challenged her support of united. "I TOLD YOU I NEVER SUPPORTED UNITED"
Had i know her this time last year i have no doubts she wouldve thrown united winning the title directly nto my face.
in the words of a wonderful group of chelsea fans when they were playing man utd at stamford bridge, they taunted the utd fans by singing. "You only live 3 miles down the road."
So true.

It has to be Arsenal's achievement this season. They are still unbeaten in the league and look to dominate the premiership for many season's to come.
I don't know why Chelsea are on the list. "For developing a team that they have". Anyone can do that with £120m to spend a season.
Other than Arsenal the real achievemnets this season are teams that are doing well without spending loads of money. Villa, Charlton, Bolton, Birmingham, Fulham...

:D Fair enough.
The lower leagues are so much more fun than the premiership..they are alot more unpredictable and the actual football is more exciting to watch.
btw, john prescott must be an exception, because while he eats more pie than most people, he eats more EVERYTHING than most people. if you cut his diet down to a normal person, he would only average about a pie every 2-3 days. If that made any sence whatsoever.
God help Tony and Co. if theres a nuclear attack on London and they have to live on rations in a shelter with prescott. Theywouldn't last a week.

also i just want to say for the LAST time, that the poll is a PREMIERSHIP poll, for those of you who are not too bright il say it again. this is a PREMIERSHIP poll.
today i felt very sorry for wolves. wolves were never quite up to premiership level, even from the first few weeks, when they were getting battered. but this second half of the season, wolves have shown great character and i didnt want them to go down today. i have really wanted a team who has not performed to there best of there ability like blackburn or man city to go down, wolves have done there team proud and will go back to division 1 feeling that they can go straight back up.

hence the fact that marlbranque is VERY underrated but as ive said before im happy with that. at least he won't then piss off to another club. this is what the whole thread is about , people being unfair to smaller teams when they have quality players. marlbranque is much better than any other fulham player but that dos'nt mean that they are crap.

Le Tissier was an amazingly gifted player and was around before the money-grabbing european qualification became a free for all (one in the Champions League, one in the UEFA Cup) He scored some amazing goals and it is generally agreed that he was one of the best in the Premiership at his time.
Malbranque, however, isnt. There are many many players who are better than him. He is good but not that good. Put it this way, what your saying, to non-Fulham fans, would sound like this to you:
"I think that Villa's Thomas Hitzelsperger is the best player in the Premiership!"
He is a good player, but no where near the best!

I know EXACTLY who that was aimed at.
BULLSHIT.
Murray said that Danny Murphy is better than Malbranque.
You said that Danny Murphy wasn't good enough to get into the Liverpool squad.
I said that he does get into the Liverpool squad because he was playing and scored a penalty against ManYoo.
You came up with some shite about 'u no nufin bout ffooti penos r ez go bk 2 weebl an bob'.
I then proceeded to prove I know far more about football than you do.
Nowhere does it say that the REASON Murphy is 'better' than Malbranque is because he scored a penalty at Old Trafford.
So SHUT THE FUCK UP.

i think we have been here before. but now im going to change the subject again. i think next season man city will go down unless sthere is some drastic changes that are deperitly needed.

Why not just admit that you're wrong? It's not hard.
And you can't just change the subject in a thread. They don't work like that. Ask Cap'n Zola about that.

You just don't get this do you? You obviously pay no attention in English (Even though you're "in the top set for every class").
Deja vu for a start.
You made a thread, with a reason. Good thread, well it could have been if you weren't in it as much, trying to convince us that Malbranque is better than everyone else.
And you may never tell us that any of us know less about football than you.
Mainly because you said Malbranque was top assist in Premiership and you said "find any evidence against it :)"...
So I found a website and linked the "top assists" list for the Premiership and there's at least 5 people are ahead of him.
You can't just "change subject" in a thread like this. Only in threads like "The Yard of Ale Pub"....this thread had a purpose and it's been served even with you posting 53 times that Malbranque is better than any other player we mention.
The thread has served it's purpose. It's been agreed that you should let it die. Mmmkay?

i changed the subject because the marlbranque thing was getting crap and that was'nt the original thread. it was about smaller teams so i was going back to it. so what do people think/ will man city know?
and to some weird people. this forum shouldnt have so many rules and regulations and people take things far too seriously, please calm down every one, this is meant to be fun.

It is just so people know what they should and shouldnt do to annoy others and bugger up the forum we asked for months for - others seemed to appreciate the effort i made.

sorry to take this thread off football but it has'nt really been about football for a long time. people on this web site's forum are always on it, and they must be on it every minute of their life. this forum should be that you can just say something and people can just talk about it other than saying all this crap about reading a begginers guide and shit. begginers guides are for games and programs not for one off posters.

People are only told to read the FAQ's if they are wasting peoples time or breaking rules

The fact is that the thread has now finished its original purpoes of the poll.
My Leeds thread is dying, so I havent gone and changed the subject and kept it alive. People only said you were 'crap' when you started insulting them and denouncing their knowledge of football because they didnt agree with you. Do yourself a favour and post good stuff in other threads! And let this one die!

I didn't expect him to last this long without some sorta punishment to be honest.
Shame though. I was expecting him to be the first member to be banned in May. Confined is good enough for me, just aslong as I never see his username again!
