View Full Version : Which football team do you support?

OK, here's the first of surely millions of 'football team?' threads, which I figure I'd best start up rather than have 'ilikepie133' or someone similar start do it.

Which football teams is it you support?

I support:
Rangers
Sheffield Wednesday
Doncaster Rovers
When the latter play each other next year, it'll be Wednesday for me though.

why do so many people support so many different football teams? who do you support when they play each other? is it so you have more chance of your team winning? tis much better if you support one team.

oh and by the way muffin:

I suport Barnet and Southampton.

Although I was brought up near Barnet, I moved to Southampton. Due to the lack of coverage the Conference/Third division get, and the distance, it's hard to get to watch Barnet play. My family have always suported Southampton, and it's hard to not feel something if they win or lose. If they played each other, my alligence would be with Barnet.

Funny, reading your things made me think of Scampi:

'I've seen teams, I've seen them with my eyes,
I've seen teams, they're often in disguise, like:

Celtic
Barca
Chelsea
Milan
Boca
Feyenoord
Peterhead and
KAISERSLAUTEN
Cruden Bay and
KAISERSLAUTEN

:D

Fantastic season by us, thoroughly expected another relegation dogfight, but brucie and the board have sure turned things around in 2 seasons, going from division 1 relegation battle to european contenders (although sadly thats out the window now)

judging by their last performance in the first divison i'll have to agree with you (i watched many a hammering in pain). we're still in with a chance for automatic promotion though, bring on Blackpool (also go Sheffield Wednesday as QPR have to lose)

a very large silver mug ill have you know!

we get straight into the last 80... and if we win that round we get into the group stages (new UEFA cup format, 8 groups of 5... top 3 go through). More than a holiday to spain i sense... the funny thing is... the geordies might not even qualify for the UEFA cup next year:p
