Shane's Card Game

this has been given the go-ahead by AP

i will deal out 12 cards at random (A,B,C,D,E,F,G,H,I,J,K,L) and each player pays 20 rupies and chooses 2 cards. after 6 players have chosen their card i will reveal the cards and the person with the highest score on their 2 cards wins 115 rupies, as i will take a 5 rupie commission. if two or more people have the same score then the prize money will be split evenly and rounded up to the nearest rupie. i have no motive to cheat or fix the cards as i will not be playing and i pay everyone the same.

rules:

aces are high
picture cards are worth more than 10's
there is no changing cards
i would just deal the cards from a pack at home, as i have no reason to fix them
i will shuffle the pack after each deal
cards can only be picked once (eg. once card 'G' is chosen then it can't be chosen again)
i will reveal the winner as soon as all the cards have been picked
highest collective total wins
if there are two or more winners the money is split

Just an idea, but maybe you could put who's got what in the first post to make it clearer to everyone, something like this:

B = 9 of hearts
C = King of clubs
D = King of Spades
E = Jack of Spades
F = 4 of hearts
G = 6 of Spades
H = 5 of clubs
I = 10 of spades
J = 5 of hearts
K = 6 of diamonds
L = 7 of diamonds

so by my calculations that results in:

damn tasche = (c and j) 15
sheep go moo = (a and e) 21
empty pie dish = (b and g) 15
munky* = (d and k) 16
angrypaul = (i and l) 17
pure canadian = (f and h) 9

that means sheep go moo wins 115 rupies that are on their way.


next round betting begins with the same rules but a new set of cards (still A,B,C,...)
