Halo was way too overhyped. It was good, but not as great as it was initially said to be. I don't have high expectations of Halo 2, either. Warcraft 3 was also another overhyped game, and I have to say that it wasn't one of the best games I've ever played. Finally, Super Smash Brothers Melee was probably THE most overhyped game EVER, and don't get me wrong, it was great, but I just found that it didn't meet up to what it was supposed to be.

I agree. Smash Brothes is too unbalanced. I was once champ but quit playing when I realized the truth: There was no spoon. There was a fork. But no spoon.

We've made an RPG with OK graphics! But your character actually ages! And can get scars on their body! Isnt that worth slapping down a good $50 for this steaming bag of crap???

The thing I love most about Fable is that when you speak ill of it, all the XBox fanboys get pissed. Like its going to be some holy masterpeice. Sooooo overhyped. I am going to laugh like a heroin-induced babboon when it comes off being a crappy crappy game. Which it will be.

i've got all hyped up about: fable B.C. half life 2 halo 2 (not that much) doom 3 . one small fact about doom 3 which is good is that
shooting a window is deadly you will be sucked out becouse of the lack of air on mars ;)

I think that there are a lot of overhyped games out there today. I found Halo WAY to overhyped, it was a good game but not the greatest game I've ever played as some people seem to think. To tell the truth I got far more enjoyment from Goldeneye 007 for the N64, which indeed was an awesome game.

Half life 2 is really overhyped to be the greatest fps and it hasn't even come out yet. Makes you think what would happen if it turned out to suck, but we all know it will be an awesome game. I just think it's got to much hype now.

There's more but my hands getting tired of typing I need to take a break and get some coke...uhh..a' cola. Yea..thats right...

Metal Gear Solid 2 was far too hyped. The fact is that the game sold due to the original and then Kojima revealed he was trying someone new, who everyone hated. If MGS2 had been billed as a 'new direction for Metal Gear Solid' and people knew Raiden featured, 'twould have been far less disappointing.

Halo was overhyped and if you comment against it everyone cries "No OMFG WTF?!!?! Halo is teh best!!1!11" it's only a first person shooter with aliens, wooh how original.
Halo 2 as above.
PSP, wow a portable games console with all the old PS games or new ones... wonder how long batteries last?
Any resident evil game after first one, wooh more zombies and incredibly stupid story lines, and the changes I the games:

Black and White 1. Not because of the fanboys (not that I've seen alot), but because the media completely overhyped it. I mean really- they promised so much yet delivered so little.

I believe it was rated the number 1 overhyped game of all time on Gamespy.

there have been very few origional games in te last 5 years, but that doesn't stop them being fun, which is what games are all about, other wise there's no point to them

whats your favorite game? chances are its about as origional as somthing not very origional, but that doesn't make it bad

My favourite game is black and white, it doesn't live up to the hype surrounding it but it is slightly more original than the ones I mentioned.

the most over hyped game ever is possibly the most stupide ever gta vice city after gta 1 the novelty wore off its all the same shit!!
oh and also final fantasy could realese a game soon instead of a film with 50 minutes of gameplay and 19 hours of cut scenes
