'Nostalgia' Challenge

i call it pure bliss, this pic reminds me of how yellow stone lake looked and how gysers are every were there,

this is an interneg scaned so its got a little dust marks i tryed to get rid of some of them in PS. anyway here it is

I understand nostalgia to be looking back, at a certain stage in your lives. An important part of when I was wee, was starting double bass lessons. I still play double bass (a wonderful thing to take pictures of, due to the different tones the wood gives off), and have my own one. I've tried to contrast the double bass I have now, against an image of when I first started to play. The nostalgia is in the looking back, at me when I was tiny.

Only photochopping done was to resize the photo, though it probably needs some work done to remove the flash-glare-thingy.

edit - be nice, I'm a beginner to photography.

I took this when I went on a steam train tour. There is a group of people in Washington state ( U.S.A., far north west) that restore and run old steam trains, and they specialize in the 'mountain' engines - ones that were designend to have a huge ammount of pull, but not much speed, used mostly for mountain logging or mining. They were about to start a full restoration project on this one. Somewhere in the mid 1800's.

are you acusing me of photo plagerisim, i am flabergasted, i took that photo when i was in yellowstone this summer, with slide flim, then i got internegs done of them, if you are not acusing me then never mind

There was a post after your last one. A guy posted a photo of 'pong', and that was the_colonel's response. The post has now been deleted as you can see, so lee's response no longer makes sense :/

Yeah, sorry, I got rid of the post when I realised I hadn't followed the rules. Still, I am nostalgic of pong...sniff.

I do have some cool photos, but none remotly about nostalgia, so I'm going to have to wait.......

Anyway, here's my entry. It was my first digital camera picture, my first time i'd used photoshop (hence all the effects bombarded onto it :p) and last but not least my very first troll I ever got. Aww.:rolleyes:
