Saving Images

Problem:

My XP account has a setting somewhere that I must've accidentially checked or something because when I try to save an image, the only type of file I can save it as is a bitmap. I have an attatchment of a common save I try to make. The default is always untitled and .bmp.

How to resolve?

Anybody know why this occurs? Like I've said, it is only on this XP account that it does this, so it isn't an ISP problem. Help?

The picture is of low quality because I made the picture in MS Paint... sorry. Learned my lesson. :P

Is it saving from IE that's the problem? If it is, it's because you have a full cache, it can't convert the file from the cache into a jpg or whatever and convert it so it only lets you save as a native bmp which it copies across.

In short, clear your IE cache

damn windows crashes every time I try to clear the cache. had to temporary internet files folder to another location on my hard drive. thanks lewiji!
