sup y'all
Its All Hallow's Eve and I'm in the mood for horror and spooky shenanigans.
To get the party started here is my little homage to Three people - JRR Tolkien, Peter Jackson and Ryan Wickstrand. The first is the author of the amazing Lord of the Rings books (in case you're an idiot and didn't know), the second the director of the amazing films BASED on the books and the third is a friend of our very own colonel. Ryan's site www.zombiepumpkins.com is fantastic for pumpkin stencils and is beautifully designed. I encourage you to check it out as its where I got my stencil from.
The story of my pumpkin started out at around 8pm today when I was bored sitting at home and someone in irc said the word "pumpkin". For some reason this inspired a great urge to get up from my warm confines of my home office and go out in the cold, dark and rain to go to Asda.
Staff and customers gave me awkward looks as I rummaged through the huge containers of shitty pumpkins trying to find the perfect one for me. 15 minutes later I emerged from the supermarket with my new friend "Colin" - so named because he was damaged and had a big rotting hole in his back. I strapped Colin in to the passenger seat and put on some easy listening on the radio to sooth him for his upcoming ordeal.
Some hours after my return home, after settling on the "Gollum" transfer I plonked myself down on a stool (about 12 inches high) in my kitchen and began to transfer the stencil image to the pumpkin via the use of a pin i had found in my sister's ear - more commonly known as an EAR-RING. I then carved the hideous visage of Gollum into Colin with the utmost precision only stopping for a minute halfway through when one of my dogs got out of her bed to investigate. I suggested to Krystal (blind, deaf, 16 year old toy poodle) that she return to bed and leave me to my super-important work. I enforced the point by growling and waving the knife at her. The fuzzy little mutt soon got the idea and went away wagging her tail. PWNED I do belive is the word.
It took me two hours but here is the final result
I present to you....
