I am taking a short break to post this quick update. One of the boss basic skeletons is done at 798 lines. I will not post a picture since it will clearly give away what the boss is :D, but I can say things are coming along nicely. The other boss is under way also, Blue Hippo is working on it. And I haven't forgoten about sigs/guest appearances list, its just that I have been a little bit busy.

Thanks for all the comments :). And yes that skeleton is of a Hell Knight. It started out with a lot more detail, but I chopped it down to be a little more basic. And the program I used to make it is Fireworks. I am one of the few on here that doesn't use Flash :D. Hopefully I will have some more of the sig requests done and a couple more Part 20 updates.

I will be updating the guest appearance list shortly. Another development is the Doom 3 spoof might be extended to Part 21. The script for Part 20 is still sort of open-ended so I may extended it pending how things develop. Right now I am getting the other Hell Knight skeletons done so you don't just see a Hell Knight that hops around. He will actually walk :D

Well I took a small break from making Hell Knight skeletons to make something a little different. I was planning on making a Pink Floyd image a little while back. But Blue Hippo beat me to it. And after suggesting some music related stuff in Itchy's thread I figured I would go ahead and make mine rendition :D. In other news work on Jam Warz Part 20 is still progressing. The work on the Hell Knight animation skeletons is coming along nicely. I spent some time spawning Hell Knights and watching them run after me to tear my body to peices to get the animation down. Right now I am polishing the (remaking skeletons :rolleyes: ) animations. I have also been making objects for the new Primary Excevation Site environments.

Part 20 Update: First off I will state that Part 20 will be the last Doom 3 spoof for the time being. I am trying to make this a spoof living up to the Doom 3 name. Hence why it is taking a long time to complete. Currently Blue Hippo and Zekey are helping me to make this the best Jam Warz yet. It will be considerable in length with sound effects, music, and voice acting (99% sure). So between doing constant work on Part 20 you will see some randomish fan art (the Pink Floyd & Led Zeppelin Stuff) as I take breaks so I don't go crazy. I look forward to seeing Weebl's opinion on Part 20 when it is released. Pending on that and other things I will move on with the Jam Warz story from there with more guest appearances etc.

hehe take your time, the waits are well worth it. Such class tis this thread. The quality of the drawings is superior to any i've seen so far on this website and i love the way you ammened pictures allready avliable by adding on items or wounds etc to them. Its the little things that make your art so good. I just wish i was able to view part 19 but i can't on this crappy comp:( Keep it up sandman would ask to be in it but you appear to have many guest appreances needing to be added in allready so will not add extra work for you.

On another note i found two jars of mouldy jam today and decided to take a leaf from jam warz and shoot them with my air rifle. Distance was too much to penetrate glass (don't even know if it could up closer) but it did knock them off the stand where they shattered onto the floor. I did not think ahead tho before shooting as to the cleaning up....

Oh well keep it up and can't wait for new episode.

I have currently been working with the sounds for part 20 a little bit. They are all sounds from Doom 3. Thanks to having the PK4 files I was able to get the sounds (they aren't avaliable online to my knowledge). Attached I have an explosion sound effect for your listening pleasure,heh. Most people that have played Doom 3 will recognize it. Here it is:

I have noticed that my thread has almost died, and many people are wanting me to hurry up with Jam Warz Part 20. The simple fact is that in order for me to get the look I want that is up to par with the Doom legacy it will not be a quick peice of work. Along with this installment being much longer we are adding sound effects and many other things that are making it take longer than normal. I will continue to post some random fan art here and there to keep up pace with things, but that is about all I can do. And no I have not forgotten about dedications/sigs/requests. All things will come in due time. When I haven't been animating in my free time I have been checking the Art Threads commenting and giving out reputation. It would be quite rude of me to ignore other great fan art threads like Fox's, Pete's, Blue Hippo's, Zekey's, GXFU's, Sparklie's, and many others (too many to list) just because I am busy animating. So bear with me while I work on it, I won't use the phrase "its done when its done" but thats basically what it boils down to. And for you gracious people that have added to my repuatation, if I have not been able to return the favor it is due to a common annoying message involving the phrase "24 hours".

Fireworks and Freehand are both by MAcromedia.


They are both very smilar.

BUT, while Flash is used mainly for animation and web content,

Fireworks is more for art special effects, and Freehand is a vector-based drawing program.

It wasn't anything special really. I looked on google for some reference pictures, then I made a skeleton swapping back and forth looking at the picture then drawing a little bit. Halfway through making it a Challanger I got ticked and changed it to a Charger. So I had to go back on google and make sure there weren't any big differences. The only major things I left out where side mirrors, and the front center clip that the charger has. But after the skeleton was done I decided on Hemi Orange and started filling it in using gradients and textures(for the tires). Added in the winsheild and the badging on the front grille and it was ready to have characters added in. I hope that explains it enough for ya itchy. But anyway, I will be quite busy today but I am going to try to get an image up later tonight when I actually get some time to work on Part 20 stuff. :p

Thanks everyone for the comments and rep:D (I will rep you back when it lets me). And yes it takes a lot of effort/time to make them. At this point I am sort of regretting posting info on Part 20 a little too early. I have been spending a lot of time (a lot more than I expected) on getting 3D Depth down (and I still am working on it). So many things are taking much longer than I expected, and to add to that I don't have a lot of time to work on it in the first place. I can safely say it will all be worth it though when Jam Warz Part 20 is finally complete. Another phase that is coming up is adding the many many official Doom 3 sounds effects I have to everything (you will even be able to hear the foot steps of the Hell Knight). So there is still much work to be done, but work is progressing. So it may seem like an eternity, but it will be well worth it.

The 3 points that were stated by USA were references to the old Texas Chainsaw Massacre movies :D. That image was a mix of the 1984 one with the 2003 version. The house is from the 2003 movie, while the bbq/chili reference was from the 1984 one(and 2nd one in like 1987). I tried to mix content from both the origional and remake together. I am quite a fan of horror movies, so Im sure some more TCM. Freddy, Jason, etc content will pop up from time to time.

I just got a PM from someone that will remain un-named. He said "Why haven't your repped me back yet, I just repped you earlier today". And "When is Jam Warz going to be out? What is taking you so damn long?". That is just a little peice of the PM. I will address both of these comments here. 1. If I haven't returned the favor of you repping me it is probably because I can't rep you again, or I have given out too much rep in the last 24 hours. 2. It is taking me a long time for 2 reasons. I don't have a lot of time to work on it for one. And the new enemy animations/creation (Hell Knight and final boss)is pain stakingly hard. They have to walk and move fluently. Then we will have to add the sound effects in time with all that. Blue Hippo can tell you horror stories about his work on the final enemy. PM's like these make me want to ram my Raider into a tree over and over.

It is now 5am (I just noticed) and I haven't gotten any sleep yet due to animating then watching The Whole 10 Yards and the S.W.A.T. DVDs (I cannot count how many times I watched the special features with the weapon footage) I rented from Blockbuster after going out for dinner etc. So here are a few updates:

Blue Hippo was nice enough to make a Doom 3 avatar for me (Thanks Hippo). Who knows when I will be able to use it. :) I am still a long ways away from 2,000 points :p

Part 20:
I have been working on a few smaller animations today for the little details as you might say in Part 20. They are subtle but I think collectively they add a good bit to the cartoon. I have also thought of a little twist I want to add to Part 20. This should be interesting, but it will also extend the amount of time it takes to make it.

Normal Art:
I will keep posting more random peices of art between Part 20 updates etc. My general theme lately has been Horror stuff. But if you have any requests let me know and I will consider them. Making this stuff gives me a break from the redundancy of animating.

Zekey and Blue Hippo: As you know Blue Hippo is working on the design of the final boss. And Zekey will probably be involved with sound/voice acting in some way. Hopefully they will post their own thoughts/ideas since I cannot speak for them.

With all that said I am going to give my sore body a rest to get some much needed sleep. I get to drive out to Autozone and all kinds of fun places tomorrow :p.

Here is the promised Part 20 update. It contains general info about what is going on with Jam Warz Part 20:

General Animation: This is something I spent a lot of time on trying to look right. I scrapped my animation on Jam Warz quite a few times setting me back because of this. I thought of many ways to have the characters move, and of course I debated if they should rock back and forth. The conclusion I have come to is hopping with no rocking animation is the way to go. The rocking thing works great with the stuff Weebl makes where the movement of the eggs around the screen isn't as great as it is in Jam Warz. Also in the animating category I would like to say that everything from the BFG shots to the little things on main chacters like body parts are animated.

Sound: With owning Doom 3 comes having all the sound effects I need. Right now I am trying to figure out wich ones I want to use when it comes time to add them. One of my main concerns is the Chainsaw. I am currently debating putting the idling noise from the engine. In my mind it could over come the other sounds taking place. Besides sound effects/ambient noise & music I am also considering voices. I have layers for the voices to go into etc, but no one has actually started recording voices. Zekey will probably be doing most of the voice acting, but I also want to see if Fox will be up to doing his own voice.

More updates as they come along :D

This is not related to Jam Warz Part 20, but I will share the magical powers I used to get my desktop theme this way :D. First off here is a full look at all most of the custom Icons, color theme, etc that have been used:

The things you cannot see are my log in screen wich is a UAC computer log in, and my Windows loading screen wich says Doom Windows with a picture of a Hell Knight. The fallowing websites will give you all you need:

TGT Soft (http://www.tgtsoft.com/): You will need to download Style XP from this website to be able to edit your loading screens, apply themes etc. It is a 30 day trial, if you wish to use it past the 30 day trial just PM me.

Theme XP (http://www.themexp.org): Here is where you can download color themes, loading screens, and a lot of other items to be used with Style XP. It is where I got my red theme from.

Win Customize (http://www.wincustomize.com): This site caters to a variety of programs that you can use to customize icons, load up screens, sign in screens etc. The also offer links the where you can download all the tools you need to go along with the styles, icons, etc that you download.

In light of loosing what took me over a month to make for Jam Warz Part 20 all further updates on it have been suspended. Considering I have to start from scratch again it will be done at some point, but I will just let it RIP for now. You never know, some day there might be a message saying its done with a clicky-a-linky. The Fallowing is a tad long, but it is worth the read:

Since I have joined the forums (only a little over 2 months ago) a lot has changed. Everyone has become hostile, and basically for the lack of better words everything has turned to shit. Now the mods (not to be confused with admins) have gone to fueling most of the hate threads to now trying to fix it all. All I have to say is too little too late. It was ignored for too long, and now people even ignore Weebl's warnings. I am sure this will all pass sooner or later. From what I have heard it seems to be an ongoing cycle. But in light of this and the fact that my life will be getting even more busy in October I have decided to make a large decision about my fan art thread. After this assassination animation and after Part 20 is done I will let this thread pretty much die off peacefully. I will probably post art from time to time as I get chances, but no more of me spending hours and days on this stuff. I will just not have the time or patience to do it. And from the state of things it doesn't seem really worth it. I thank you all for your support through posts/reputation (400 away from 2,000) through out the life of this thread. Activity should go on as normal up until the release of Part 20, but after then expect things to die down a good bit. I will be happy letting this thread rest with hopefully getting the opinion of Weebl when part 20 is done. Until that time comes, I hope you all will look forward to Assassination/Part 20.

It is very sad you are stoppin Sand-Man :(, but im sure most of us support you in you decision if you feel its for the best.

The arguing has got out of control, and i really do hope it all setles down and you can return to your art when your not busy.

damn damn damn day... im sick, just read that sandman's leaving, and so am i maybe... I really hate stav more than anyone else (nearly). Why can't everyone just stay happy or not log on if they're angry. These forums is really full of hatred, and there is enough war in the real world, so i dont want it here too.. (i bet nobody else do neither)... Some people here is really kind (fox, PureEvilYak, sand-man, Nightcrawler, Chrisper)... and a lot of others i dont really know so good.. or dont know.. when i joined, the war wasn't really started, and i went home each day hoping that someone made some fun fanart (yes, you too, sand man and fox and gxfu)... now i dont really want to log on anymore because this is like terrorism. everyone hates each other, and they just want to have a place their can call their own. (Stav wants the whole earth, and maybe at part of the universe too ;)). So i think i will leave this forum, but i am not dead! i am still on messenger.. and i post elsewhere and so... come to the forum family! we are still happy (some of us) there... or the dark fortress... we're having fun there too!
