The Magnum Research Desert Eagle in .50 Action Express is my favorite weapon of all time. For people that know nothing about guns that doesn't mean much, but .50 Action Express is the largest caliber avaliable for a semi-auto DA pistol (not a revolver). Here is my first attempt at the pistol with a 24k Gold finish you can get making the price about $1,600 (800 pounds). I will probably redo it to get a better gold look. This is the gun carried by Blue Hippo in the animation.

Today we are getting rain from Hurricane Jean etc, and it is generally a shity day. So after seeing a commercial for a local station showing Titanic AGAIN, I threw together this little short animation with Sparklies in it (considering she hates Titanic). *On a side note*: I thank you all for your comments regarding my leaving. But I didn't expect them to cause that much commotion. I will be posting updates regularly as I finish my last 2 animations. So feel free to post ideas etc as normal.

*bump* hey, I like the DA pistol picture, though i must say i'm a bigger fan of the smith and wesson range. I'd make some suggestions for the next cartoon, but i havent been able to load the last animation so i dont know whats happening

I was trying to think of a second pistol to include in Assassination and the Dr. mentioned Smith and Wesson. I like their DA (Double Action) Revolvers just as much as their DA Semi-Auto Pistols, but my favortie happens to be a semi-auto, the SW99 in .45 ACP to be exact. I know gxfu suggested me not posting as many updates, but after these weapons are re-sized you would never know the detail that goes into them. Please keep the suggestions coming (and you didn't miss anything really Dr). So here we have my initial SW99 Skeleton:

*Side note: For those who are wonder wtf Double Action means it is quite simple. If you have seen any wester movies you see them cock the hammer back before pulling the trigger. That is called single action. Double Action simply means you just point and pull the trigger, not messing with the hammer.*

It was my first attempt at something Pink Floyd not directly related to an album cover. The thing I liked about doing the Pink Floyd stuff was it came out looking exactly (or close to) like album covers and had some added humor in it :D. Like I don't think a lot of people got the whole "How rare..." comment was about the light shining through bob's head, not the prisim changing the light into the spectrum. But people don't seem to be responding to well to them (except for the Dark Side of the Moon one that got a few replies and 1 rep). Maybe they don't get how much it actually takes (2 hours for the moon one) to draw all that from scratch, no copy and pasting.

Glad you like it. And considering sig limits some people have a large sig plus other text/images so I don't know if they will really care. The bastards at my insurance company are trying to make me pay for a month of insurance on my car after I had cancelled it ($140 usd). So dealing with them has delayed the image I had wanted to make today. And I have work in an hour or so, so I won't be able to make it later either. It will just have to wait till tomorrow after College (Uni). I am working right now on a Wall Paper with a friend for the 10th Anniversary of this game we both used to play. The wall paper for the game (Twisted Metal since no one guessed) and the W&B based image are slowly coming along. I have to split my time up between the two. Here is a concept sketch I made of one of the characters from the game that might go on the wall paper. Before anyone (mainly girls) say anything about the "look" of the character, this is very close to how she looks in the game. So its not my fault :angel: .

Dude, it looks good, but im sorry its not cell shading. Cell shading means you have no lines. That would be EXTREMLY hard to do in fireworks.
It looks good, but its more of a trace, unless you re-drew it, then its not even a trace its a potrait.
It looks nice, but please dont post saying "More art will be coming" otherwise i wouldn't be suprised if this get knock out of Besterest threads.

Did the thought ever occur to you that maybe in the end it won't have lines. And this art thread is not just Weebl and Bob art, even though that is what got it up here. Sure if Weebl decides to move it down so be it, but the content is not inappropriate at all and is of an artistic nature. If you are too young to appreciate what goes into making something like that, oh well. I will not compensate for people that like the maturity to look at something like the above from such a standpoint. Other members here (even one(s) of the female persuasion) know how to look at it in a correct mannerism.

The point of the post was to get feed back on a cell shading type of art look that I am trying out. I need suggestions/comments before I can use it in my W&B Twsited Metal little series of pictures. It just so happens that my first stab at the cell shading ideal was a female character(from Twisted Metal 2) concept for my other Twisted Metal peice which is a wall paper to celebrate the 10th anniversary. If some people could not look past her "appearance" and comment on if the artistic style was good or not, they need to grow up a little (or a lot really).

Well, Just wondered what you lot reckon of the Wobbl & Bob DVD. I got mine just after Christmas. I must say I was dissapointed. All the best episodes are missing !!!
Either that or the good episodes (which are remastered) have been tinkered with and are shorter / not as funny. Where is the clowns episode? or that really good one with the whale. Hmm.. Anyway, just thought i'd let you know.

on an ontopic note, i really like the cell shaded female. I don't really know much of art so i don't have much constructive to say, except that the lightred part on her left boob (for her) seems to go too far up, into the grey part. as if you didn't colour in the lines :P

Yeah the red got mixed in with the grey a little bit, but I fixed that shortly after I posted up the picture :D. Thanks for pointing it out though. I have basically finished the female character, and the link below is to the "teaser" (wall paper I posted in the TM forums I post in to keep their interest) wallpaper I made with her image blown up etc etc. I really thought the human body would be a good first stab at a cell shading style (even though it does havel lines). The contours of the body make for a lot of light and dark areas to add depth in the actual picture. So it was a challange making the clothing not look flat (exspecially in the chest area) . How this applies to my W&B art (and all other art) is making my objects have a more real feel to them. Rather than flat colors with simple gradients.

I feel so embarressed about forgetting about this thread. The art work here is truely amazing and the effort put into it is astounding. Re-reading though everything again has been a joy and pleasure on this sleepness night and im so sorry you lost everything due to that virus sandman. Good to see you Fishy, and everyone else that has been replying/giving feedback. Tonight I went over the story synopsis with Bluehippo, and I guess from his rection he liked it heh. Story wise it won't be fluffy and humorus like to origional Jam Warz (sorry guys). But it will be as twisted and as dark as my on little twisted mind will let me make it.

Also tonight I started up my old dusty copy of Flash and got started on the menu screen. So the ball is starting to slowly get rolling. Sadly enough I will not have a lot of visual updates during the week (minus Tuesday). I have college and workall week almost. So most of my updates will be on Tuesday and Sunday my days off (tuesday off of work, and Sunday off of work and School). I will be checking in at night after work to reply and give any idea type updates I can.

Now with all that said there is only one thing up in the air for Doom 3: Jam Warz edition. And that one thing is voices. I have no experience in recording voice, voice acting etc. But there will be sound and music effects straight out of Doom 3. So if you want to do voices etc, please let me know. The script it pretty minimal due to the fact most of the story line is horror based. But I think it would add a lot to the Animation. And oh yes, we cannot forget about hosting for this thing full of sound effects, music, etc.

Thanks for the kind words Ye olde Noob :D. As you can tell my Pie Floyd sig died (hosting wise) so I put up a new sig promoting Doom 3: Jam Warz / Part 20 (same thing). Hopefully some of the old Jam Warz fans will get in here and give some feed back as the progress on the grpahics for the animation continues.

I think I mentioned this before, but sadly Doom 3: Jam Warz will not be a jolly edition of Jam Warz. I hope this doesn't upset those who enjoyed the odd corny humor that was put in the very first episodes. I am really going for as demented as I can here. And I will even let it slip that at least one character dies. But I really think you guys/gals will enjoy it.

Well the PDA GUI looks very simple. But the graphics and layout are very hard to get to work together. It won't be a simple "Click Here to Play Movie" type thing. It will be interactive, and give some information that people that haven't seen the rest of the series might need.

Well I disappeared for a few months too :p. I just so happened to come back a few weeks before you did :D. I will probably will work the GUI later tonight after work (8pm-2:30am EST is my work) . I basically got the initial Menu done allready, so next on the list is the loader screen, then GUI. Then after the GUI is the Intro/Actuall Movie. That animation might have to wait till I confirm some things about voices. But until then plenty to do, and not enough time to do it. Just how I like it, lol.

I just noticed something.... My art is not as dark as I thought it was. This monitor I have been using must have been really damn dark. Because half the stuff that I saw as black, you can now see. For example things like over spray, etc etc. A lot of the lighting effects look different (like spray instead of lighting) etc etc. I will be re-posting some stuff soon.

Yes darker of course is better. As you can see with the second image, wayyy too much of it is visible. There is no point of the lighting effect on the second one. But anyway, about the Doom 3: Jam Warz. The initial menu has been completed, and it should look very famaliar to anyone that has looked into Doom 3 information. I have started on the PDA GUI graphic development, and as I expected it will take a good while to finish. Tomorrow is my day off of work, so after Uni I will probably get a good bit of stuff done on it. Here is a little taste of what colors/look the PDA GUI will have. Once again if you know anything about Doom 3 you will probably automatically recognize this. If not, this may mean nothing to you:

My day consisted of getting some more tedious work on the PDA GUI done, listening to some Floyd, Zeppelin, Aerosmith, Eagles etc; and helping a friend wire some stuff up at his apartment. Thanks for the concern :). I fractured it about on the 10th of Feb, and the official word from the "orthopedic specialist" is that it is healing really well. And " I have much more range of motion than most people at this point". So this has been really good news. Now I just have to deal with these two exams later today (1am versus 8am). GUI work has been suspended till after my Finals. I have work of course also, but my goal is to have it all done tomorrow night (the PDA GUI that is). If Blue Hippo gets his way, I also might get a teaser trailer done this weekend. One thing that I have been mulling over in my head is the fear factor. It is something I really want to incorperate in the cartoon, so we will see....

I wasn't....but then I figured I needed to post something to show progress at least :p. Here is a quick fact sheet for those who care:

- The intro and menu resembles install screen for Doom 3/ Doom 3 Website
- Que Movie symbol is the Pi symbol
- Foreword is the Quake symbol (other Id Software game)
- True Evil Never Dies similar to Resurrection Of Evil Trailer
- Fading Sound effect edited from Doom 3

Those are just some tidbits that I tossed in there to see if people noticed. There will be a lot of this throughout the animation. But unlike here I won't name them all out for ya :D.
