Remember the not so good old days of NES? With super mario 1, marble maddness, the first zelda, and all those other bad games? I have a special trat for you. Memories. Some kind soul has remade the popular 1984 game Balloon Duel. Linky (http://www.flashplayer.com/games/balloonduel.html) It just might entertain you for a bit. Who knows?

Got anymore old NES (Nintendo Entertaiment System) games that have been remade to fit the computer? Put them here!

Infidel! The NES was one of the best systems ever. You can get entertainment out of pretty much any NES game, at least for a bit, while more than half of the console games these days are just complete shit. Besides, Super Mario Bros. 3 was on the NES, and that is one of the best games ever created.

I saw Duck Hunt on the computer once, but I don't remember the link. :(

Also, a whole series of classic NES games is being released for the GBA.

Look at it this way. The NES was the console that started console gaming and made it famous, period. And that's because the quality of games on the NES is just outstanding. I remember playing Super Mario Brothers (all of them) and Duck Hunt, as well as Zelda 1, Final Fantasy, Metroid... even the lesser games like Punch Out and Willow. In short, the Nintendo was quite possibly the greatest system ever, only to be matched with the Super Nintendo.

Then, the next generation consoles came out. That's when gaming started going down a deep slope.

...of goodness. You cannot say that zelda 1 is better than zelda 64. It just is not right. It was great, It started gaming, and it had is purpose. But now it has been out done. For it's time, say if you were to compare with how much it was enjoyed, then yes, it was the greatest consol of all time.

Everything was so much simpler in those days..Simple console design, simple controlls, simple games. Most where getting from A to B in the best time, barring RPG's. So much more fun than knowdays. Now you have to piss around solving puzzels, listen to hours of dialoge...it all just gets in the way of good old fashioned gaming.

You just can't beat the mario games. They where class. No question that it's the best side-scroller.

The NES was great, I still have my old NES from 1989 in the attic. I don't play it, but I often play the games on my computer as roms.

Duck hunt!
That game was ace, and it started the whole multiplayer/party genre of games for which we are all grateful! And the lightgun was really fun to use as well.

I've already played that version of the baloon duel game and it is really addictive.
The Nes did have some of the best games ever but I have to say the Snes was even better than that. It was one of the first consoles I played, probably THE first, and I have been a nintendo fan ever since. Ahhhh, the snes... :notworthy

It was as well wasn't it! Zelda games are NOT meant to be platformers! Ah well, from there the games have only got better!
