This is a second attempt to organise a few forum counter strike matches. last time it didn't work because we didn't set what servers we would meet on and on which day/s so hopefully this will do better.

When we have enough intrested people we will arrange what servers to use and at what date.

and Gloop, the more the merrier... although your going to need steam as without you can only get CS 1.5, which is not compatable

Do it slowly :p the steam client is pathetically small if I remember rightly (about 600k?), and the other games'll install off there... bear in mind, if you have half life generations, install HL, CS and get the 1.5 patches for both off a demo disk... steam'll convert them and only have about 40mb to download :) managable even for 56k!

I hope this goes well this time. I signed up. I have broadband, but I tend to lag sometimes anyway. I haven't played for quite some time. Most people on CS are twats. But, most people on the forums aren't so it should be fun playing with you guys. (that didn't come out right)

although i have been fiddling with playing wavs over the voice comms... :)

the hard part is encoding it right... and not all songs etc. work propperly, i did everybody dance now, but it was a little hard on teh ears :(

Steam & 1.6 update is about 350-400meg.

Steam with EVERYTHING is 800meg.

That would be good for us to sort out, and anyone on the forum who hasa a valid steam user account could join, it would all be for fun though- not a serius clan.

i have got steam but every time im when cs goes on all some of the letters in the words are missing and when i try to connect to the servers it says cannot connect to this server

Also, CZ is just CS but shiny. Not worth £20. They've actually *shockhorror* added another model for each team now, to keep peoples hopes up that they will actually make it a slightly different game...

Yeah CZ isn't worth your money really, unless you don't own CS or HL. And I must ask the same question, is it a play as you please thing, or will you be kicked out if you don't come on the specified times?

Maybe we should have a trial game first... to ascess how good everyone is and make teams fair. After all, it's really not too fun if one team owns the other from either point of view!
