Bob Burnquist. Or Chad Muska.
It has to be Bob Burnquist.
Mainly, because i completed Tony Hawks with him.

nah it has to be rowley or margera
rowley is just sick when he skates
and bam just rules
A guy I know called Darren Goldsworthy is by far the best skater ive ever seen! I have no idea why he turned down sponsership. I saw him do a switch 360 kickflip disaster to revert, i was in shock and awe.

The best skateboarder is PJ ladd, which you may not know of. But if you've ever seen PJ Ladd's "Wonderful Horrible Life" video, you'll know what i'm talking about

the best is Tony Hawk. He's the richest
Mike Vallely - he's excellent, can do some really good flatland stuff (just watch his video on THUG)
Rodney Mullen is class, too. Tony Hawk is great at vert, as is Bob Burnquist. yus.
edit: how original from me Tony Hawk but hes just so damn amazing
There is a difference betwen being well known and 'damn amazing'. dont let those blasted X-games fool you. Tony Hawk deserves all the praise he gets, because he's excellent at what he does, vert, but there are other, less well known skaters, who kick serious arse.
the best is Tony Hawk. He's the richest
please tell me you're joking.

Rodney Mullen. The first time I saw his video in THPS 3 I was so awed that I watched it about 10 times. I found some of his other videos and they're just as mind-numbingly awesome. The balancing act he does is unreal.

Mullen. he's my hero. hehe
or leo Romero. he's also quite good.
One day, me and my friends went on a really busy skater street.. (where all the punks and skaters hang out) and we asked everyone who passed us "hey, can you do the rodney mullen???" good times...
oh, and i can ollie, kickflip, heelflip, pop shove it, 180 ollie, manual, nosemanual, manual-pivot, boardslide, nosegrind... and if i'm really lucky, i can land a primo slide... tha shits hard... i just started skating... March... i can do some of these really well, and some really shittily... but i can do them, noless!woot. i'm getting better too... i plan to be good someday. and i have reason to beleive that cadex is (REALLY) good...

but Bam Margera
rodney mullen. i'm a fan of flatland tricks and some the stuff he does is phenomenal
That's a brilliant choice, he can do anything actually.
I also like Bam Magera but for Viva La Bam, where he is always kicking the ass out of Dan and his dad.
Edit: PLus Shaun White, he is good and he puts my surname high up there! :notworthy

way to be, man....
on the other hand, i just sprained/fractured my wrist a couple days ago... so i havent been out for a.... couple days....
the story of the spracture. (sprain/fracture) (i dont know which it is..)
...I was on a really empty street, the street i usually practice on... i popped into a manual, i was going for about... i dunno... 30 seconds... (remarkably, for me, because i've only been able to do manuals for no more that 10 or 20 seconds...), so i decide to do a nice pivot around... (i can do this... don't worry. i'm not dumb.) I pivot around, and about 3 quarters of the way finished, i get cought in a pothole... the board flys out from under me, and i land straight, smack on my left wrist....(i would have been ok if i didnt put my writs out... darn my cat like reflexes...)
and thats that... thats why i have so many typing errors... (if there are, i dont know..) have fun, all! but dont do manual-pivot's around potholes.
Try a 540 nose pivot on grass :p
I busted my wrist and dislocated my elbow 2months ago, i was doing 360 flips when my board whipped out. I didn't know i broke my wrist til i got to the hospital!

i remember when i just started...
my 'rents got me one of those Zellers Boards... (Dukes probably... hehe) and i tried to skate on it, and like just ride around. it went soo slow. one pump got me like half a cement block.... it was so horrible... but then i went and got a good blank deck from a skate shop... just green, they gave me an alien workshop sticker for it... (yay). i could ride around... but i couldnt do anything... i didnt know how... so a few years later, here i am, still using that board, and doing stuff! yay! but i want a new board... i want an alien workshop board soo much... they're beauties.

Ive been skating for about 4 years now.
latest trick Ive learnt is the inward kickflip which is like a frontside flip but without turning your body the 180 degrees.
as for grinds, Ive been getting into frontside-flip > fakie nosegrinds.

30-07-2004, 09:04 PM
...see what i mean? cadex is good.
i dont even know what those tricks are! hehe.
cadex, what exactly Is a fakie??
kebab?
30-07-2004, 10:48 PM
Danny Way, because he's so well rounded, he skates everything (and i mean everything). Handrails, Stairs, Gaps, Manual pads, Miniramp, Vert, it's all the same for him, i mean, for any of you who have seen the DC video, you'll understand. The super ramp is mad, b/s 360 across a 60ft(ish) gap? f/s 360? b/s 540? f/s rodeo anyone? And then to put a rail across he gap and heelflip 5-0 it, switch crooks, kickflip nosegrind it?
Only Danny Way could do that.
Apples, PJ Ladd, well, anyone who makes it to 'pro' status deserves recognition. Danny Gonzales is great though, all the freaky little tricks he does rule.
I skate, a few of you might remember a picture i posted quite a while ago, i'll admit that i've lost a lot of tricks lately though (injuries suck). eh...

Itchy, a fakie is when you ride the board with your feet further forward on the board then usual. Kinda like riding backwards. And thats a move I use alot when I'm out skating. yes, the fat boy does skate. And damm good too.
As for my favorite skater, I'd have to say either Bam Margera or Arto Sarri. They are both crazy.

02-08-2004, 12:48 AM
Fakie IS riding backwards...
say if someone switch/fakie ollied down some stairs, that would be like running down stairs backwards.
Bastien salabanzi is crazy mad!
Actually the whole Flip team rules.

rodney mullen. i'm a fan of flatland tricks and some the stuff he does is phenomenal
:notworthy Rodney Mullen :notworthy is the god of open place. Give him a board and a bit of tarmac and he will amaze anyone and everyone.
Anyone who has got Tony Hawks 3 needs to watch the video of Rodney. He may have been around for years but he invented many of todays flat tricks and is still going strong.
