It's here! The Warhammer Fantasy Campaign that will change the course of history for the forces of light or Chaos!

From the dark side of the world, Archaon- Herald of the 4 gods, has rallied a Chaos army unlike any since the time of Sigmar. With the ultimate prize of Chaos- the Crown of Domination- he has complete control of the Chaos powers. Hundreds of thousands of demon monstrosities ride the winds of magic, while even more mortal followers of Chaos walk behind Archaon.

Their destination- the Temple of Ulric. Archaon will step inside the flames of Ulric, and throw the entire lands of Ulric into the clutches of Chaos.

The men of the Empire, Bretonians, Elves, Dwarfs, Dwarf Slayers, Lizardmen, and even the legions of the Undead (only because Archaon is messin' up their graves!) stand up against Archaon as one. Either they stop Archaon at the steps of the temple of Ulric, or they all die trying. Already, the Empire, Brets and Dwarfs are racing towards Middenheim, while the Elves are already there, aiding the followers of Ulric. Meanwhile, the Dwarf Slayers are following Archaon's horde, in an attempt to cut off their retreat should the main attack be thwarted. Either way, it is going to be too close to call!

Will Valten, Chosen of Sigmar, repeat history and put an end to Archaon, or is the full might of the Chaos horde too much? Will Archaon throw the world into Darkness? It is time for you to decide! Which side will you rally behind- Light or Dark? Order or Chaos? Good or Evil?

With that said, which side are you going to be on?

Me- well, I'm a man of the Empire, and I love cannons. So bring on the legions of Chaos, because they wont take one pace forward without being shot to pieces with Cannons and Helblasters!

1. It's not a video game, but it is still a game.
2. Nerds? What, for having a hobby? Painting, conversions, expressing your creative side- what's nerdy about that?
3. Order or Chaos?
4. Soup or Salad?

Go Vampire Counts, go! :D Only half painted, but still. :) Games Workshop btw, are just very small plastic or metal models that people collect, paint, and then wage small battles with. It's quite addictive, if you've got the patience. :)

Does it say VIDEO anywhere in the forum description? No.

And as you obviously haven't seen some of the creations people can come up with out of Warhammer and the like, don't say it's not creative.

Have you seen the detail and hard work put into painting those models? I'm thinking you haven't.

Also where do you think this thread should go? Because I can't think of a better place.

[Edit] - Damn you Weeman getting there before me.

For my Luthor Huss conversion, I'm thinking of putting a Beastmans head on the back of the horse- a trophy from his battles against the fickle powers of Chaos!

Also, I don't know what colour to paint his armour, and the horses armour. Black, maybe? With some watered down mithril colours, maybe some highlighted white on the edges?

Meh, that's okay... but I really want to go for a colour scheme of "The light of Sigmar will kick your arse before I get within arms reach!" theme. I probably should stick to some lighter, more pure colours.

Archaon is going to get the beating of a lifetime when he makes his move on the temple of Ulric! Seriously- he uses his henchmen to do all his dirty work, and he gets the glory with all that super strong Chaos stuff...

... Like I said- Arhcaon is going to get beaten like a German Sausage when he gets down there!

I used to have some of the 40k ones (Chaos Space Marines) and enjoyed building the models and adding extra stuff but the painting got a bit boring in my opinion and the rules on converting them were quite strict.

You forgot one of the sides: The Orcs And Goblins :)

The Orcs and Golbins want the same thing Archaon wants- to give the Empire a good arse kicking!

Although they seem to be in their own league, I still think they are on the side of chaos.

Have you seen those little Fanatics?!? Evil little buggers, they are!

Orcs and goblins just fights everyone. As usual. Personally i prefer the skaven. Naaaasty little buggers. hehehe.

You seen the new Flayerkin? Only toughness 3, but they are cheap skirmishers with the killing blow ability. Plus, they automatically climb walls of castles, so they can prove to be quite nasty if you get too close.

I decided to give 40K a rest for a bit as all my battles ended up going 1 turn shoot, next 15 turns raargh combat... So, turning away from my 40K Chaos Marines, I decided to go and buy some Empire guys...
And now dammit, I managed to get addicted.
2500 points of Talabheim men in gimpy uniforms, led by knights of the Reiksguard and Luthor Huss at the head (I didn't convert him so I painted his armor gold so dazzling it makes my eyes hurt...)
Bring it on Crom...

Plus, anyone seen the LOTR Mumakil model? Jesus Sweet Mother of God...its BIG (and fairly expensive, 50 bloody quid...)

Yeah, the Mumakil are HUUUGE! Truly a thing to behold! And it's definately a modelling thing for the veterans, no doubt about it! It's $110 dollars down here- not even a Hell Cannon is that much!

Reckon it's metal, or plastic?

But I wouldn't mind collecting a Chaos army after my Empire one. Either that, or I'll have 2 Empire armies (can never get enough of that sweet, sweet Empire).

The Mumakil are completely plastic, I read in WD.
Oh, and if you want a Chaos army for mainly gaming, I'd advise against it. Save the Hellcannon and a few Marauder throwing axes, they have NO shooting weapons at all.

Which is great, cause I usually whittle down their numbers by about a third with me Handgunners, Hellblaster Volley and me Fire Wizard before the evilness gets within range of combat.

The first post I put on these forums, and its about GW related Hobbies! Cool. I'm a 40k vet and Storm of Chaos is the excuse Ive been looking for to get into WFB. I'm supporting chaos. Anyone who says GW hobbies are for nerds either doesn't know what they are talking about or is a liar. Also, weebl and bob are super cool, espesialy Bob.

All Night Gobbo army?

Not having any fanatics would be just wrong! Get those little buggers out there- they are just so random, it's not funny!
