Basically just to stop threads being allowed saying 'Dogfighters 2 is out soon' in this thread you can put little bits of news that wouldn't really make up a very good thread. Most of my news will probably be about Nintendo, but feel free to post about PC, PS2 or Xbox news. So I'll start:
Pikmin 2. I found a site about the sequel to the fun puzzle, action game. It isn't in English, but there are some little video on there.Here it is (http://www.nintendo.co.jp/ngc/gpvj/)
The RPG known as Golden Sun is being taken from the GBA to the Gamecube.
The DS games may cost £20 and may come out at November.

Rumours have surfaced that X Box 2 will be released next year.
Armored Core- Nexus has a release date (shibbi!!!). It is the 24/8/2004. I better start saving up!
Also, I have heard unsubstantiated rumours that a Halo 2 expansion pack is already in production. It is quite possible that this is just a rumour, given that Halo 1 did not have an official expansion pack.

Nintendo has shown what the DS will actually look like when released, it has been made slimmer and rounder and there is now space for the stylus in the machine. It will released under the name DS and it now has over 120 companies making games for it.

Wow that new design looks much better, apparantly the pads and buttons have been made bigger aswell. Looks like Nintendo isn't losing it's grip on the handheld market just yet, especially if its true about the price of the PSP. Good work finding that Boyinabox.

Sega have confirmed that a new version of ChuChu Rocket, the first ever online console game, will be released on the Nintendo DS. It is expected to offer Wi-Fi support and to use both screens. Rumour also has it that Super Monkey Ball will be coming to the console but Sega have not confirmed this yet.

I beg to differ, the concept is mediocre and no Bond-related shooter will ever match the original GoldenEye. Official magazines tend to make games look better than they are, like the way OPSM used to give good scores to games like Euro 2000, the way OPS2 liked Athens 2004 and such like.

I find the official Nintendo magazine's scores to be honest, they don't rate games good just because they are nintendo. Anyway even though it is true it won't beat goldeneye, but we shouldn't judge the game before we have played or even the people at games magazines have played it.

Rockstar Games' Manhunt is being called to be banned from the shops in the UK.

Electronics store Dixons and a few other main companies have already taken the game off the shelves.

This call to action happened after the murder of a young boy by a 17 year old who was "obsessed" with the game.

So, of course, the game got the blame for the murder.

Now I don't know about you but it seems ludricrus-how many copies of that game were sold? I'd estimate 3-4million. And how many of those murdered people? 1. That's right. 1 in 4 million who already had violent tendencies and anger problems.

It's another case of video games taking the blame for someone stupid enough to take it into their own hands.

Square is only putting a few things on Nintendo because fanboys wanted it so bad, including me. We have yet to receive a ACTUAL final fantasy game. Crystal Chronicles isn't really a Final Fantasy game in its sense. It was made specifically for the gamecube, and I doubt Nintendo will ever get a big 3D Squaresoft game ever again.

Game Boy Advance has gotten Final Fantasy Tactics advance. Also, not like the other final fantasies but still a good game.


If anything happens, the PSP will get the more recent 3d FF's, whilst the DS gets remakes of the old NES and SNES games. Definitely.

EA have announced a whole new host of PSP games based on previous PS2 ventures including NBA Street.
Sony has announced new PSP publishers, bringing the tally to 59. New games have also been announced including a Ghost In The Shell spinoff and Pro Evolution Soccer. The final number of players in a wireless game is 16, with no need for a central connectivity hub.
Talkman - a translation program set to be released with PSP - includes 9 different langauges available.

Other new games in development include Harvest Moon and Tiger Woods PGA Tour.
New publishers include Atari (Driv3r), Eidos(Tomb Raider, Hitman), and Ubisoft (Rayman).

Looks good but since the best game on the system at the mo is Doom 2 (which even the GBA can manage) it will most certantly fail.
