I loved Michelle Pfeiffer's Catwoman in Batman Returns more than I can say. It was like something out of an old Hollywood movie, in the best sense of the word: she was given these great unforgettable lines and her scenes were electrifying.
I don't know how this movie is ever going to match that one, and for starters I don't like the costume, I find it just too ridiculous.
Batman's Catwoman suit was so beautiful and glamorous and Michelle carried it off so well. If even a beauty like Halle Berry can look a bit funny in this new suit then no one can look good in it. Why did they make it like that?
I'm thinking of watching it anyway, because these Summer blockbusters are usually lots of fun and I haven't seen Sharon Stone in a long while. She's always fun when she's playing the villain.

Personally I think this movie looks horrible. From what I've seen of the trailers it looks like everything about this movie will suck, since even the trailers are horrid.

I've already found out the plot, and read part of the script.

Not only will this movie suck donkey balls, but it will suck them with such strength, that it will tear the donkey inside-out and cause it to spontaneously combust.

The style of the costume is much more like the comic books than the one in Batman Returns but I think the bucks will come from men wanting to see Halle Berry in a skimpy S'n'M costume rather than a good storyline or quality of movie.

To my knowledge no comic book artist has made a Catwoman costume so utterly crap that it makes The Tron Guy look sexually alluring and mysterious
(Although I realise some of you do find The Tron Guy that way)

No it doesn't look particulary good does it, if all this happened in Batman Returns and it was better than this was there any need to make a movie on this character at all. I don't intend to see it, thanks for the trailer anyway.

I think making a movie on this character is a great idea because the character is good enough and strong enough to stand on its own - unlike so many other female pseudo super heroines, like the batgirl etc, that really wouldn't exist in the first place if there hadn't been a male version first. Catwoman is not a catman in dress, she is (well, in her case, more like a villain, not so much) a heroine in her own right.
I just think it's too bad that they decided to make a movie just about her and then it (apparently) turns out to be such crap.

Catwoman is more interesting in her relationship with Bruce Wayne / Batman ( read Hush .. coolest Batman comics )
On her own she's just a rather sexy woman stealing jewels...

I could say that Bruce Wayne without any of his nemesis is just a bored rich guy who drives/ flies around Gotham in a black suit - but I won't. :p
