Star Wars Trilogy DVD

Woo at last the trilogy that we all know and love is being released on DVD! Ok so it's the special editions and not the originals but who cares. The only thing I disagree with is Greedo shooting first.

Star Wars was always meant to be watched on DVD and finally it can happen on September 20th.

Seems as though that huge petition worked :)

One thing to remember is that George Lucas made all the decisions when it comes to Star Wars. Personally I don't care who shot first it neither adds to nor deteracts from Han Solo's character.

As for "they were always meant to be seen on DVD"?? That would make George Lucas a prophet as well as a storyteller as there was no such thing as DVD back then.

From what I hear they are trying to airbrush the occasional character from the current trilogy into the original trilogy for continuity. If it is done well I don't mind but if it is dodgy then I would imagine there will be uproar.

Much as I hate to say it, they are just movies and what the artist director says is final.
