Thought i'd finally make a contribution to the wonderous fantabulousness of the Sports and Bets forum, since after the death of the rupies system it's been a little empty...

So, what teams (in any sport) do you know that have unfortunate and funny official team nicknames...

Mines gotta be Fulham. The Cottagers used to be so innocent, now it is quite suggestive :)

Although I found a pub called The Fiddlers Elbow in Brighton :confused:

One of our rival high schools, Tarpon Springs High, has the nickname the Spongers. I know the reasoning behind the name, but it's still bad nonetheless.

Well in baseball we have the Brewers, that's not bad. In basketball there's a team called the New York Knickerbockers. So they might as well be called the New York Pants.
