in case you didn't know Wimbledon are now Milton Keynes Dons. i just think that changing their name because they moved ground (to milton keynes) is a bit random and pointless. it's confusing and it'll probably cost them a lot of money changing the names on all their products, etc.

what are your thoughts on this and do you know of any other teams that have done this sort of thing?

Not that I know of, that's pretty strange as it is :p

btw they stole our nickname ¬_¬ Aberdeen are the dons because we have two rivers here, the Dee and the Don. Pfft.

And there gonna have to change their badge as well. Which might disappoint some fans.

umm, they don't have any of their fans left, since the guys in control moved them to Milton Keynes the fans abandoned them (with good cause) and they now have AFC Wimblodon. The point of moving was to try and bring in more money, same with changing name/kit/badge. They're trying to make it a different football club to get new fans.

Well, I live near to the ground (the National Hockey Stadium), and I'm not going to go there to watch soccer, which I really don't like as a sport, especially at higher levels. The only possible time, I suppose, when I might go there is if Leeds play them there, the only team which I really support, and even then I don't that much...I wish the people would leave the town
