View Full Version : (American Football, Beware)Cincinnati Bengals - Playoffs or not?
As some NFL fans know, the Cincinnati Bengals used to be the worst team in the league - two years ago, they had a record of 2 wins and 14 losses. However, last year, a breakthrough happened as the Bengals jumped up and improved their record to 8-8, even beating the undefeated KC Cheifs. However, they still were not able to make it into the playoffs.
So, I shall ask the following question:
This year, will the Bengals get into the playoffs?
Please, football fans, don't post in here saying "OMG WTF AMERICAN FOOTBALL TEH 5uxx0r5!!!" We're here to have a good discussheohn, okplzthnx.

Last season, they really got me mad. My favorite team is the Buccaneers, so when it turned out that the Bengals did better than the Bucs, that really sucked. But this is a new season, so I wish them the best of luck for this year, and I hope they make it to the playoffs (just as long as the Bucs do better).

I'm a cowboys fan. I have stuck with them through the dark years, and I continue to stand by them. I think Cincy will repeat what they did last year, but I don't think they will make the playoffs. I doubt the Chiefs will overlook them again.
Me am a Packers fan. (that's why i hate the bucs... :p)
Just thought I'd clarify that...
I knew there were football fans hiding in a little corner of the forum somewhere.

oh yes. Cowboys got their arse kicked by the Texans tonight. Romo played better than testaverde which stinks for us cowboys fans.
I'm more of a college football fan though, being that I just got accepted to OU. (University of Oklahoma).
Whatever happened to that packer offensive lineman that was blindsided by sapp (i don't like sapp for that, well also he's an arrogant ass)

The Bucs are gonna play the Bengals tomorrow night. They were supposed to play them last night, but it got postponed due to Hurricane Charley, even though Charley didn't do squat to the Tampa Bay area.

i doubt it hippo, it'll be amazing if they ever have a good record, though its better than the 49ers (my team, who lost both Owens and Garcia)
as for the bengals, i hope not, i live in the dayton area (roundabouts :ninja:) and the kids in my school are bengals fanatics, and its bad for me if they do well because they talk about their improved chances. yes they're better, but all they could go was up
Well, now they can go down
And about the loss to the Seahawks, if Favre had stayed through the game, Seahawks would've had a whooping.
Couch.... errgh.

No kidding, he'd be playing against a third-string defense in the third and fourth quarters.
And, btw, the Bucs beat the Bengals last night 20-6.

I'm from New York so I don't really care much about the Bengals I root for the Giants but I live in Florida so I don't get to see a lot of games. I hope they could make a run at the playoffs this year.

I think they might be able to pull something out this year. Coughlin is a very good, and the Giants signed some really good players. I think they'd do better if Kurt Warner is the starting qb instead of Eli Manning.

Hopefully, if Warner starts he doesn't have a repeat of 2002 when he fumbled the ball eight times against the Giants.
Kurt Warner should have gotten released from the Rams last year. He should be better under a new atmosphere.
