Stricter? I know for a fact that in the US there's a bank account that will give you a free gun for joining. People blame gun related violence in teenagers on the music they listen to and not on their parents influence or the fact they can leagaly buy guns at 18. I also know in America that when you are 18 you can:
Buy a gun
Join the Army and kill people in war
Buy a car
Drive a car
learn to fly

Whatever my opinion on easily available weapons (and I am referring to ease of availability in comparison with Britain), capital punishment and war I hate people who go on about how they caselessly hate America far more than I hate America!

I didn't like America on my one visit. Probably something to do with the fact that I went to Buffalo! I will be visiting Florida at some point in the future and apparently it's really nice there. One thing that I don't like is the strange attitude to visitors to the country, you know that green form you have to fill in with the tick boxes (I have visited the States once and transited through Chicago airport too) that asks you if you are a terrorist (yes/no)!

So yeah, America, don't know enough to make a real judgement. I've met some assholes in America, and I met some lovely Americans too. I'm pretty sure that asshole Americans are a high proportion of the US population, rather like the percentage of British people that are wankers.

So yeah I assume that the States is like any other country but the Bitter Brits have more of a grudge against them so you hear more of the bad points.

Hollywood interpretations of the second world war on the other hand is quite another matter!

I think that TNC's are mainly to blame. I think they give America a bad image by "leeching" the funds and life out of poorer countries.
