From Liverpoolfc.tv, oh which I am a proud paying member ;)
Liverpool have announced the signings of Spanish duo Xabi Alonso from Real Sociedad and Luis Garcia from Barcelona.
Both players signed in at Anfield today after successfully completing medicals. They have each signed a five year contract.
Neither player will be involved against Manchester City tomorrow or against AK Graz on Tuesday.
Garcia has been allocated squad number 10 at Anfield while Alonso will wear the number 14 shirt.
More spanish players, and I think it's great! Finally changes are being made at anfield. The last 10 years have been a major disappointment, but I think now's the time to fear liverpool fc!
If Garcia plays as well as i've seen him play, Gerrard plays his normal ways, Kewell preforms and woever else makes it into midfield, we'll have the strongest looking midfield in the premiership! And with Baros, probrably the best striker in Euro 2004 and Cisse, the french leagues best striker last season, the results can only be good.
Whoever said we where built on Owen..
