Apparently Paula will be running for GBR tonight in the Olympics. Do you believe she would have let us down if she said no? post your comments here!

I don't think she should have done it, due to what happened in the marathon. I think she's only doing it because she feels she has let us down, but we will cheer her on nevertheless!
Go Paula! etc.

I hope she finishes the race, for her own sake, let alone ours. It obviously meant so much to her.

And Amir Khan is absolutely awesome. I preferred the fight he had against the Bulgarian to the knock out. It showed his level of guts and determination, he completely outclassed the guy. And he is only 17 (as you will hear every single time he fights.) (At least until he is 18!) I would love to be a fly on the wall if some 'im ard' NF nutter trys to pick on him! That would just be sweeeet.

I think she made the right choice, the marathon was just a a joke. They ran it in full Grecian afternoon heat, a lot of it was uphill, and there was no wind that day. Considering the conditions, Paula did well to get as far as she did (completing 23 of the 26 miles). The physios say she's made a full recovery, and the 10,000 metres is a shorter event held in the stadium, so she shouldn't suffer the same problems. Besides, after losing the Marathon gold, she'll be even more motivated to get the 10,000m for consolation. GO PAULA! :)

I appluade her for her attempt there is no way (if I was fit enough) I would be able to even think about running again! Although she never came back with a medal I'm sure I'm not the only one who has a lot of respect for her!

The problem is going to be how much respect has she got for herself. Plucky attempt though, showed us Brits in a good light as far as I am concerned.

Amir Khan. What can you say. I am not that fond of boxing, especially pro boxing. But I always find that for some reason the amateurs are better to watch. This lad had my pulse racing. That third round was absolute class.

It was obvious that she would drop out. When you're running professionally you're supposed to rest a day for each competitive mile you run before running competitively again. She ran 22 miles in the marathon, she obviously wouldn't be fit enough. Brave attempt though.

Amir Khan, is all that can be said i think :p

Ive not heard that before. Makes sense though. The furthest I ever ran was a half marathon, and it certainly took me longer than 13 days to recover! Now i am not sure I could run to the corner of the road...

It was a shame about the marathon.
No-one could complete it due to the conditions,so no-one got a medal.
I think they should run an easier downhill cool one for her.
She's a loser and a quitter.
Look at Khan,he went competed, won a medal.
Paula realised she wasn't going to win FA so quit.
