Well, what does everyone think of this leeds foursome? They're a good mix of genres including indie and disco. There's a lot of hype surrounding their second studio album (Welcome To The North -- Out Monday) and from what i've heard of their new album, it should be class!

Highlights include the singles 'Freedom Fighters,' 'Bleed From Within,' title track 'Welcome to the North, 'Into The Night' and 'Fight The Feeling.' What's everone else's opinion of this band? Are they good live?

I think that they are really good, very good driven beats and I always like reverbed guitars and stuff :) The singer is also fairly unique (something which IMO is important, as anyone can play a guitar, but finding a singer to make your band stand out/sound great is probably difficult).

I think I saw them 'live' on MTV2 a few years ago and dont remember thinking it was crap, at least :p

EDIT: I also havent bought their first album yet, but it's definitely one that I will eventually get.

I liked what I heard from their first album. Not enough to go out and buy it but still it showed up on the radar. However the reviews I've read of their second album suggests. "oh dear once again hype has gone wrong". I've heard freedom fighters and I'd have to agree. It sounds a mess to me. The tune has got muddled up in over pumping their guitars. I may go out and buy their first album as it seems sadly another band havent got the hang of using a studio.

I like Freedon Fighters alot, but I don't know about getting the album.

The only song I've heard by them was "Take the Long Road and Walk It" and I burned that onto a mixCD.

i think they are great, very unique and skillful in all aspects of the music they play.

I hope they carry on making good music.
