View Full Version : Arsey script shenanigans

Recently I downloaded a script that would let me assign hotkeys to buy weapons (since this was a bit of a pain)

It came with a handy installer/uninstaller.

Welps, it completely fecked up and no matter what I set I couldn't use keys 1/2 in the menu. Couldn't be having that, I need my Affirmatives!

So I uninstalled it. Only afterwards did I notice that it didn't make a backup of the default script and therefore deleted it.

So now I'm left with keys 1/2 not working, a few keys out of place and no way of changing them back since all I'm left with in steam is a grey box with a small yellow square in it to set a control to-handy I must say.

So does anyone know where I can download the original script, or get steam to download it?

what's the script called

and if you could be a little more exact, ie screen shots, as i don't know where your talking about for the most part

PS in future, it would prolly be easyer to just make your own script

To put it simply:

Bloody thing deleted my controls.

Can't provide screenshots right now, but basically the control options have completely dissapeared-all the standard controls (forward, backward, shoot etc) have dissapeared. So I can't set them.

From what I understand steam uses a script to set these and the custom scripts uninstaller has deleted it.

k

just delete file a called kb_def.lst in cstrike/gfx/shell, and if it exests kb_act.lst

sorted, the origionals are safe as houses in the gcf file

Cheers, worked :D

kb_act was there but kb_def wasn't. I'm guessing that the uninstaller...uninstalled it :p

The script wasn't too bad to be honest, it had everything...Except that nothing worked. Not even quick-knife. Heh  teach me to mess around with simple scripting languages :p

one's the actual list of stuff to bind, and the others where you can store default keys so when you press default, it just asigns them how you want it
