Well, might as well:p
Birmingham 0-1 Fulham
Bolton 3-4 Tottenham!!!(Gwan, Defoe!)
Charlton 1-2 Crystal Palace
Chelsea 1-0 West Ham
Everton 2-0 Preston
Man City 1-2 Arsenal
Middlesbrough 3-0 Coventry
Newcastle 2-1 Norwich
Southampton 3-2 Colchester
Which one do you think I'm happy about?:)

Man City 0-2 Arsenal? :p
Edit: this game was actually 2-1 =/
I think any team is in with a shot of winning this, although Chelsea fielded a strong line up even against West Ham so you have to think they're clear favourites...
Has the Spurs game even finished yet?

Heh, only 10 men whilst fielding a reserve squad and we still beat an all but full strength Charlton. Thats the result I'm most pleased about :D
Bring on United Reserves! :D

Man United reserves/under 12s you mean?
next round draw in full:
Burnley v Tottenham
Nottingham Forest v Fulham
Newcastle v Chelsea
Liverpool v Middlesbrough
Watford v Southampton
Manchester United v Crystal Palace
Arsenal v Everton
Cardiff v Portsmouth
the obvious highlight in Newcastle v Chelsea, and Liverpool v 'boro could be interesting. I hope Watford put out Southampton, and i think they can as they can barely beat Colchester at home :)

Sorry about the misleading results, I copy and pasted them before they were over.

Hopefully United will take this competition seriously like 2003.
I had to laugh that Fergie made 11 changes from the team that beat Arsenal.
Mind you better than Arsenal. Under-21's? Hardly an Englishman among them as well
come on teh Burnley!

Why is this a thread for both FA Cup AND League Cup?
They're two entirely different competitions...

Yeh, the FA Cup may have started, but only for non-league teams. Do a FA Cup thread around January.

What, when Liverpool won it? :p
I tihnk who wins depends on how seriously the big teams take it. I think Newcastle, Celsea and Liverpool will probably want to win it....

I think Rafa will try his best to get us a troophy in his first year. 'Boro will be a tough game but we are unbeatable at home. [/tempting fate]

Jose has stated (well, Steve Clarke says that he has) that he expects Chelsea to win the League Cup this season.
It would seem that he wants the "quadruple".
Our line-up last night was quite strong, even without Terry, Cech, Lamps or Duff (although Lamps and Duff came on in the second half).
It seriously could be anyone, especially with Newcastle and Liverpool both wanting some silverware.
Meanwhile, Mr. Abramovich's World Domination Plan is still on track....muhahahaha....

And yes, Liverpool won in 2003, but it was our first league cup final since 1994 - When Villa beat us and stopped us doing a treble 5 years too early.
