its....perfect :weebl:
yup its one of my favourites now well done
But why is it called Scampi? Cue mindless guessing by forumites to the great amusement of all in the know ;)
It's some kind of seafood type thing, cooked in batter I think. Not a fan myself.
But enough food talk, the toon rocks.

I think it's a dish with prawns, maybe the cartoon is using it as in the disguise part, don't ask me, maybe the guy looks like scampi? lol

Scampi? Probably the second funniest thing I've seen in my life, after a long-forgotten episode of I'm Alan Partridge. Kuala Lumpur makes it perfect - it would be a bit of a disappointment without Kuala Lumpur, because of its outrageous disguise as France! (why France?!) I first watched this toon literally minutes after it was launched, albeit in a drunken state, and to all you Scampi fans, it is worth getting drunk to see it, as its hilarity is mulitplied about 10 times!!!!
I was most impressed by Weebls accuracy. Get an atlas out kiddies, and find Kuala Lumpur. Weebl's map is actually real, and not just made up for comic affect.

:rawk: Scampi is the cats ass, cause I have finally managed to stop Badgers bouncing around in my head like a one legged man in an arse kicking contest.
I sit at my desk alone all night twitching and plotting mass cheese death to married russians in Kuala Lumpar (although they might be in disguise) It also is really good to put people on hold to...

But let's face it! Kuala Lumpur is a funny name for a place. France is also a funny name for a place and comes to mind quickly. France is used in many jokes, but Kuala Lumpur is not. Combine the two and fireworks go off. This thing got me hooked just by how the music matches the guy's walking. That and the walking looks so realistic. Godlike compared to the sad little things i've seen in flash with 2 frames of animation done by a 2 year old and/or retarded armless half-monkey midget man. I should know funny, i'm a Canadian. Everyone knows Canadians and British have the best sense of humor. (most of them) :D

I like monty python, but i especially like it when they have a little skit thingamabob with cut-out pictures, you know what i'm talking about probably, Monty Python's Flying Circus did it frequently with naked stuff. Twisted humor like that is sometimes the best. I'm thinking of taking Flash MX 2004 and throwing something like that together myself. Maybe for self amusement, maybe to show off to people. Whatever the case, it'll be funny.

If you want Badgers as well, it's just a repeated B in the bass with drums. But it hasn't got a tune really, so it doesn't get the complete treatment like scampi did. I'm half way through working out Patrick Moore.
PS - When playing Scampi, during the long lyricless pause between "Carrots, Handbags, Cheese" and "I've seen things...", some improvisation on a G-blues scale sounds great. Infact I might upload a midi of it (with Weebl's permission, naturally)

I must be a scampi-crazy...
I was discussing about Mr. Stabby, badgers, mushrooms and a snake, when the topic suddently moved towards seeing things that are often in disguise. The others remembered "carrots handbags cheese" and "pygmies budgies Kuala Lumpur", but then I said the whole list (carrots handbags cheese toilets Russians planets hamsters weddings poets Stalin Kuala Lumpur pygmies budgies Kuala Lumpur) and the others were fascinated :D
Then I drew this angry-looking Col. Scampi who is marching along a fenced road out of a city, to my Maths notebook. I can scan it if you insist
(P.S. I heard the sentence at first as "I've seen them, they erupted in the skies")

Whenever I see or hear the words Kuala Lumpur, I chuckle, and instantly imagine someone singing the words á la Scampi. It provokes some unnecessary/threatening/perplexed/amused looks.

Anyone have the scampi ringtone for a Motorola cell? (Patrick Moore would be nice too). Or maybe someone knows how to translate that Erikkson one to Motorola-talk... anything, please!
Amazing, but true - this thing rocks!
It may seem dumb - a mad man with some strange thing on his face walking towards you and singing about many things he has seen. But in fact, it's just as addictive as possible. I can't stop waving my hands like him!
I've seen things... ARGH! What is happening to me??? Kuala-lumpur... Pigmeys... OMG help me!
BTW Russians or at least Soviets are called there twice.

No matter how far he walks, he never seems to get that far away.
And never feels tired of singing, walking or waving hands :)

i dunno if this has been said before, or if it's jsut my computer being laggy or smthing, but whenever i watch it, when he says "weddings" it's got a picture of a gravestone, i find it highly amusing, well not really, but scampi rocks.
and another thing, i think he's this cartoon is broadcasting a ubliminal message to use your eyes more *whipping sound*
You really don't understand this? There MUST BE A GRAVE cause "They're often in disguise".

Only if you let me get this one in first:
A drunken man staggered into a Catholic church, sat down in the Confessional and said nothing.
The priest is waiting and waiting and waiting.
The priest politely coughs to attract the drunk man's attention, but still the man says nothing.
The priest then turns and knocks on the wall three times in a final attempt to get the man to speak.
Finally the drunk replies, ''No use knockin,' pal. There's no paper!"

You know, if you go to a shrink it's never a good idea to sing Scampi....it's even worse if you like repeting "I've seen things, I've seen them with my eyes! I've seen things, they're often in disguise!!" over and over. They'll try to put you on something or lock you away. They won't let you show them the website...IT'S SO NOT FAIR!!!

Yes, t'is hilarious, but who cares, it's just funny!
Plus, erm, try to edit your posts, and put 'Edit:' and so forth, instead of double posting! It just makes the place tidier, ok!
Just a friendly tip, and welcome to the forums!

If I ever go to Russia I won't leave without playing that 'vodstol' (or whatever you call it) pub game.
Thats the one where you have a vodka session and see how many times you can crawl under the table.

Scampi had a brief mention in the November 13 issue of Web User - "We've seen things, we've seen them with out eyes...Carrots, handbags, cheese, KUALA LUMPUR!"

Evil. Pure evil. Someone mean person on an EZboard posted a link to Scampi and I have had these damned songs in my head ever since. I don't know which I love more, Scampi, Magical Trevor, or Choccy.
They are all brilliant.
Who are these people? Is there a link or bio here that tells you more about them?

to all those that asked about the kuala lumpur / france thing, I am pretty sure it is an obscure Simpsons Reference. It is actually one of my very favorite lines from the simpsons and so I remembered it.
Kent Brockman is sitting reading through his news report before he goes on air, and he is reading, "In world news, a huge tidal wave killed 40,000 in Kual la lum, kuallla, kual... (can't pronounce it so crosses it out and replaces it with France) France!"
I laughed so hard.
Yoink! "Yoink?! *looks around* MY DANISH!"
