Unexpected. Totally unexpected. I am shocked to hear that he has left the Spurs, and I'm sure other Spurs fans will too. We spent a whole season looking for a good manager. Who will we get now? Maybe Martin Jol, assistant manager, will get the job. Maybe for some reason we'll hire Robson. God knows, but I am totally flabbergasted that Santini has left. What are your views?

He was nothing special anyway. They had a good start to the season but were never really setting the world on fire and stuggled for goals. I think they have the worst goalscoring record in the league at the moment.

I don't have any idea who they'll get in though... the system they have would rule out quite a few managers as they wouldn't have control over all aspects of the team...

Most SPurs fan are quite upset at this, and it would be nice if you could repsect that.

Apparently, it is for "personal reasons".

That's really strange. Spurs weren't doing too badly, they did well against Chelski. Wonder what personal reasons though...

Lost 2 nil to Fulham though....

I had a teacher in primary school that left for 'personal reasons'...turned out he was gay. True story.

I was to the idea it was family problems, but i think thetroopers angle of him maybe being gay might just be true.

Spurs do have a quite strong team, but they never achive, i do find it surprising that players like Kean and King are still playing there when there are a large number of clubs that would give an arm and a leg to have them on their team.

Slightly offtopic, PMC, what was wrong with dogincognitos post? It was merely the truth slightly opinionated, and i cant see how spurs fans could find it offensive

He said he was nothing special. We had high expectations, and dogincognito just goes and treads on him.

I think it's a shame that the spurs have lost yet another manager. It was a bit of a shock to be honest and I wish spurs the best of luck (except against Liverpool!!:D)

PMC - you shouldn't take dogincognito's post to heart. It's merely an opinion. Look what people say about Benitez!

BTW Did anyone else think Santini looked like Tackleberry from Police Academy?? Or was this just me....??

That's just my opinion man.
Didn't you have high expectations of Hoddle/Gross et al?
Anyway it doesnt matter what your expectations were since he's not there anymore :p

Indeed.

You can't get all pissy just because people don't agree with you. He's right anyway, he's nothing that special. He's a good manager, there's no mistaking that, but there plenty of others...and he's hardly set he premiership alight so far..Spurs are sitting in the bottom half of the table while other 'mid-table' premiership teams have made a flying start..such as Bolton or Everton..

Besides. He's gone now. He was only there for 11 games anyway..how attached could you be? Move on..the next manager may not be of the same class, but that doesn't mean he can't do better.

woo. Jol's been appointed as the new manager. Maybe he'll drop Redknapp for Carrick... I hope.
