Hi all, I am aware there are some other rangers fans on this forum (as I am )... so I've made this thread for us to hang out and talk about Rangers.
As we all know we won the cis cup match the other day. Do you think this might change the way of the league, for the rest of the season by giving them a morale boost?
I think the win will help there morale.
I can't wait till the auld firm in nine days time.

What is you're favorate rangers song and player?

Sorry if this thread has been done before.

There's already a Scottish football thread (http://www.weebls-stuff.com/forums/showthread.php?t=12592&page=1), just use that ;)

I dunno, I like this thread. :D

I think the other day's game was very important.

Favourite song would have to be Follow Follow, and favourite player...I'd have to say Steven Thompson. Great player and a Scot too :)

Dog - this thread could be used for just Gers fans, whereas the other is for SPL, SFL, CIS Cup and even Scotland internationals.

Who else is a Ger on these forums? I know Leonidas and the basstard I think?

I'd like to ask 'Gers what they think of Rule Brittania and the Great Escape being played at Ibrox.

Personally I hate it. I hate the bigotry that is associated with our club, and this does nothing to disprove it.

Thoughts?

What makes Rangers so special that it should have it's own thread? Why not have Scunthorpe thread for all I care?
...
But it gets approved by all the Rangers fans the many out of the few that actually got to this part of the forum.
But if you want your own thread, I'm not stopping you.

*sigh* That's not... well, no use arguing I'll just get minused and lose anyway...
On a different note, it's nice to see your old avatar back.

Isn't it?

;)

And what point do you have to argue? The thread doesn't break any rules.

Make a Spurs thread if you're that interested.

But nobody here supports Spurs....:(
I wish everyone didn't support Arsenal.

To me - I don't feel that one single football club should have its own thread - it does nothing but further the segregation of Rangers bastards from the rest of the world (not including the English).

So stick that in your pipe and smoke it..

(not a serious post) :p

Shhhhh.

Now.....

NACHO NOVO is getting ready to face Celtic tomorrow after Rangers won the appeal against the red card given to the Spanish striker in last week's Hibs match.

After watching Novo's clash with Hibs midfielder Craig Rocastle again, referee Willie Young and assistant referee Steven Craven have decided that only a yellow card was appropriate.

The SFA's Review Board has agreed with them and the red card has been reduced to a yellow which means Novo can play tomorrow.

It's a huge boost to Alex McLeish as he preapres for his second Old Firm derby in 10 days, having beaten Celtic in the CIS Cup on November 10.

Good to see that we'll have our strongest strikeforce out tomorrow. Let's hope we see a repeat of last time.

Ok then. Tell us about your favourite Rangers game. Preferably one you have actually been to, but if it was one you saw on tv then that's allowed.

My favourite was a few yeards ago, though I can't remember off hand what season.
It was the Rangers 3-Celtic 1 game, and it was great fun right from the start.

Albertz (The Hammer) scored a screamer of a freekick from outside the Celtic box in the first half, and from then on we were all over them. Celtic equalised (can't remember from who) just before half time though, but such was our performance that we were confident of winning the game.

In the second half Di Canio and Goram had a little bit of an argument. As Di Canio was walking way, crying to the ref, Goram kicked the ball out, only for it to rebound off of Di Canio's head! Pretty dangerous play, but hilarious none the less. What was even funnier was that when Di Canio turned around to carry on whining, Goram did it again! The referee just gave him a look, but I think even he was trying not to laugh as Di Canio was going ape!!! The Celtic striker Cadette then scored a break away goal, before it was ruled (slightly luckily) offside. And then, in the last 8 mins, the big clumsy lumbering striker Eric Bo Anderson, (affectionately named The Plumber) scored two identical goals. A break away on midfield, a throughball to the left, and then just stroke the ball under the advancing keeper.

Brilliant! :D

Well, the best Gers game I remember was four years ago this Friday in the OF. It was at Ibrox, the last match had been 6-2 to Celtic and we were quite probably going to get humped.

Did we though? Did we hell! Barry Ferguson scored to put us 1-0 up going into half-time...

Larsson scored after the break, but then the rout began....it was Tore Andre Flo's debut (what a waste of £12m he turned out to be :() and he scored...

http://news.bbc.co.uk/olmedia/1040000/images/_1041723_flocele300.jpg

...as did Ronald de Boer, then Lorenzo Amoruso...

http://news.bbc.co.uk/olmedia/1040000/images/_1041723_amoruso.jpg

and finally Michael Mols, who was a sub!

We well and truly trounced them, and I can't remember a single better Gers game. Funnily enough, guess who got sent off in that game?

That's right.

Alan Thompson. :D

Great game.
