Sorry, maybe it's just me, but what makes him attractive? I just don't see it....
Fair enough, but that's pretty impossible to answer seeing as taste is subjective. For example, I really don't see what makes Brad Pitt, Leonardo Di Caprio etc. such heart-throbs, and I don't think anyone could explain it to me in a way that would convert me to their cause :p.

Johnny Depp is clearly one of the hottest men to walk this earth!!!
And he can act too! That's rare, I mean, look at Orlando Bloom, he's got NOTHING going for him. Well, that's just my opinion.

Ooh, is that the Eastpak Antidote tour (with Bedouin Soundclash and a couple of other bands)? I dithered about going to that for too long and it sold out. Never mind - apparently they tour quite a lot so I'll get another chance :)

They're absolutely fantastic live (as you already know \o/). I heard about them from a newspaper review, and I downloaded Gypsy Punks out of curiosity and loved it. I bought tickets to their gig when I was already at the box office for something else - I just happened to see their name in the list and thought "ooh I bet that's interesting!". Turned out it was the best gig I've been to yet. :trex:

The tickets are still on sale for the Manchester Eastpak gig. It's £14. The situation currently presents two problems: 1) there are three other bands there who I don't know (though I'm trying to rectify that at the moment) so it's a bit of a gamble, and 2) I would probably be going on my own unless I can find someone who'd be willing to go with me. However... topless Hutz, crowdsurfing on a bass drum... and the photo opportunities that presents :p ... Hmmmmmmm.

I've gone to a gig before on my own and while it's not as much fun as being there with someone else, it's better than missing it. And I can probably get a lift from my Dad if I book him in advance. I'll probably go - fingers crossed that tickets are still on sale tomorrow as I prefer the real-life box office to buying online!

Did I just talk myself into attending a gig? I THINK SO. I will try to get a ticket tomorrow. Pray for me, chezbin ladies'-room-frequenters.

edit: ticket bought online after all \o/

It is adorable, yet I would not feel like I'm running around in my underwear. I'm thinking that cherries are a little overdone, but the other options involve white polka dots, and if I wear white in the river I swim in, it will turn brown. So I am still thinking.

But! I'm thinking since the bottoms are like huge granny pants, they'll hide my belly worries away, plus £5.99 including P&P for a never worn original '50s/'60s swimwear, I'm saying/hoping it's a bargain. :)

talk of the devil. just as i was about to make this post it came on the news.

basically i really dont understand the fuss about this kate moss designing for topshop thing. i walked past the leeds store today & they had a giant '1 day left' sign in the window & nothing else. i didnt realise people cared that much.

judging from the previews its very in keeping with the whole bland clonish (black tights & denim skirts & horrid long necklaces with hearts on them seem to be some sort of uniform) topshop thing. but some of it is ridiculously dull for the amazing new range tag.

Hahahaha! I hear you QueenofSelf, looks yucky to me, those jeans looklike they were made for a six year old (also Kate's norks seem to be sliding down towards her belly, or is that the look?)

And now for some even more distressing news:

In the Spar today I read on the front cover of Star magazine (hah) that Noel Fielding is apparently getting it onnnn with Pixie Geldof. Now I love Noel (oh yeahhh sexy dreams :p), but for f*cksakes mate!! She's only 16...erghh! I for one are hoping it's all a load of bollocks and that Bob Geldof will give his darling daughters a good talking to for spouting so many lies concerning Noel (last year or something Peaches said she was going out with him ). Pshhh.

Seen Pirates of the Caribbean yet? I thoroughly enjoyed many hours of watching Johnny Depp and Orlando Bloom dressed as pirates :) Although the bit at the end with Will and Elizabeth... pftt. Put him down, girl! I admit though, I was rather disapointed with Mr. Depp's chest area. I don;t want bulging muscles, but he just looked like a weed! Get to the gym and get some waxing strips!

Currently... hrm. Still obsessed with David Bowie, David Tennant, Guppy from Casualty and John Barrowman, amongst others. Yes, I know he's married. To a man. But shush, he's bisexual in Torchwood!

Here's a query for those with experiences of how boys work... Could you take him saying hi etc. whenever your paths cross on the way to various fun activities as a potential sign of interest taking into account you're not really close otherwise (ie, not really out of being friendly) and that he isn't very talkative to people who aren't friends? Hopefully the next week or so may offer more insight, we're both science nerds and there's a few sciency activities coming up.

that's really weird you should say that because just recently, i've had several people tell me that i have a 'type' and yet previously all the guys i liked were really quite random... what do you think it is??

Oh and I'd definitely take that as a sign that he's interested - at very least he's noticed you, so build on it! :)

Dylan Moran is what a drunk teddy bear would be like. The messy hair is great.

I'm afraid though, I would be a Matt Bellamy person. I think to say I am attracted to him is a bit misguided, because I would rather be Batt Mellaby. See, I'd rather be a male singer with the kind of range that I have who plays piano (bass instead of his guitar) and write songs in that kinda style. Damnit, I shoulda been born 11 years earlier in Devon. [That was a joke, haha, fat chance.] Anyway. He's a pretty cool guy all in all.

He's one person I would choose to have a good long conversation with of people I'm not likely to encounter. It seems he has a wacky mind, I love people who can just make conversation about strangely connected ideas out of their heads, because I tend to do it myself and I hope to meet someone like that some day... Oh, to be as confused by someone as I confuse others..

Right this is a bit naughty cos it's a double post but this is in no way related to Danny Dyer and I'm in need of some advice so I'm hoping nobody will moan too much...

I've met this guy who I like and who I went on a 'date' with the other night, and the evening went really well and I felt quite excited. We agreed to meet up again, possibly on Saturday which a day or so later became Sunday, which was fine. However, Saturday evening I get a text from him saying that he can't make sunday because he's had a band practice sprung on him last minute. My instant reaction is that I'm a bit annoyed and quite disappointed, so I said 'ok...i'll leave the ball in your court then' which in retrospect was probably a bit curt. Anyway, I went to a friends house and had quite a lot of wine and started worrying and did a stupid thing by sending him a text saying something along the lines of 'am i barking up the wrong tree? i'd rather just know if you don't like me' or whatever, which he didnt reply to. And when I woke up this morning, I felt like a complete prick about that and said 'ok, re-read my last message, and feel like a bit of a twat lol, bloody wine - I'm not usually allowed it cos it goes to my head! Anyway, ignore me and have a good band practice :) x' which i thought seemed fair, but I haven't heard from him since his message about not being able to meet up today. I'm really hoping that I'll hear from him tonight, but generally speaking, whats the take on this scenario? I know I haven't really handled it all that well, but in my defence I haven't had much luck with guys lately and I seem to have quite a quick defence mechanism which probably makes me come across as a bit cold, but I'm just sick of getting hurt atm. Ahhh long story short, I'm annoyed with myself and I think I've probably messed up. Discuss.

Okay next time you go out swap mobiles with one of your friends as then neither of you will be able to drunk dial.

Also leave it for a while, don't contact him as that'll make you seem desperate. If he doesn't contact you in the next week he's not that into you.

Cruel but true, you've left the ball in his court so stop running over and grabbing it.

No more texts until he replies. You heard me - none! Well, to him that is, it would be silly to impose a rule of you not being allowed to text anyone. Men are very simple, just one more word could tip him over the edge and put him in a coma, then he'd never be able to text you back!
