This is a really stupid question, but i just brought counter strike condition zero, but i dont know how to play it online, when i open 'steam' it comes up with half life and counter strike source only, and i want to play condition zero online as this is the only version some of my friends have. ive looked through the manual but didnt find much, so if anyone has condition zero help would be appriciated

You sure you bought CZ not source? post a screenshot of the steam games menu

Sounds like the problem I had when i first bought CZ.

Sounds like you have installed the game and steam but havent downloaded the online version or update or whatever it is.

Open up steam, on the 'Play Games' menu, and right click on Counterstrike CZ (or whatever it says) and choose to install it. It might take a while.

Try to keep all things updated on that list. Install it all, and get it out of the way...

Hope this helped. :)

[EDIT] http://home.covad.net/~k25125/SteamyThings/Steam_Install_FAQ.htm That is a good link - explains what I mean alot better than I did. You need to be looking at number 17 and onwards! Good luck.

This is a screen shot of steam and my desktop which shows the condition zero icons still

If i double click "play online using steam" it starts installing then says to close steam and then comes up with the same menu

I registered my game to see if that would help but it didnt, and condtion zero doesnt appear on the menu anywhere, ive never had this problme with online games before

EDIT: I think i know what the problem is, ive registered the game with valve (i think) but not with steam, so i have register my CD key with them, now the problem is i dont know how to, i looked through the website but nothing came up

EDIT 2 AH HA! Done it, stupid pop up was too big for my screen so i missed the bit that said "register a game you already own", problem solved, thanks for helping
