Lots of new screenshots and a couple of videos here (http://www.dod-gaming.com/index.php?mode=news&newsid=34)
It looks gorgeous, and 'appears' to play similar to the DoD we love.
Even more pictures. (http://dod.daddeln.de/content.php?articleid=60)

I'm looking forward to this, I always enjoyed giving it a quick spin just as something to do other than CS :D
edit: Avalanche is looking tasty :D

For some reason, I'm not that impressed. Call of Duty looks better than that, and that's still on the old Quake 3 engine.

w00t, been waiting so long for this. I'm glad I spent the extra tenner or so on the silver package :D DoD I play more for fun than teamplay.
noouch: I have a feeling that is the beta version, and that the guy has a poor graphics card (23 fps on hi res, but you can see it isn't full settings)

I reckon this is going to translate many more people from CS to DOD. Which will be cool...

I think DoD has a much better community-if you make a mistake in counter strike people are very quick to shout "UL!!!11" at you than DoD, where everyone just runs at the objective points crazily :D

I hope they get bots in it. I don't like playing online because everyone rapes me because I suck. Also, I have no friends.
This should be open to download right? Not like Half-life: Source. I want that. But I'll never get it because you have to buy half-life silver at least and DOWNLOAD it.

I believe it might cost a little extra but yes you should be able to get it somehow.
Bots are annoying and very sucky on easy, but "hacker" difficulty on hard. You can't learn from bots seriously, the only way to stop sucking is to play online.

You're right in a way, but I do believe that bots can be learned from if you are an uber-noob, IE this is the first time you are playing any FPS ever. They'd teach you the basics of the game. But I agree as you get even slighty more advanced they become pretty useless.

I just like bots, they're more cooperative, especially in source. They'll tell the locations of enemies, the bomb, come to assistance if you require it, follow orders etc.

Thats because they are using the computer to think, a human mind, well most human minds, will do the same, but they will also formulate their own ideas, whereas bots tend to follow routines which are easilly learnt.

The way bots work in Source:
There are 2 ways: space algorithms or waypoint data.
Space alg. just looks at the walkable space, the bombsites etc and makes waypoints.
Waypoints are just points on the map that tell the bot "walk to here, then either go to this waypoint or this one".
So basically, the bots eventually get into a pattern.
It gets boring fast.
Plus bot's hitboxes are laggy :p
