Problem with images

So I inquire the help of others, its just that when I save an image it saves as a bitmap, even if it is a gif or whatever if saves as a bitmap, which means I cannot load it as an avatar or profile pic on forums and animations and gifs will not move, it just really sucks, can anyone help me?

try clearing your temp files as i've heard that this can cause results like this

go to tools internet options -> delete files -> yes
