i use the term "ranks" loosley but for every so many posts you go up. e.g. you start a a empty pie dish. is there a list which tells you what post amount gives you differnt ranks?
i cant think of another word for ranks sorry

You get a pie crumb at 30, and a mini-pie at 100.
That's all I've seen so far.
(but 'ranks' aren't important, so don't just spam to get a higher post count!)

well, this is just a guess, but couldn't that be because there were thousands of topics about the pie icons?

some people laid to much emphasis on ranks....
it got silly
maybe that's why they changed it.

i still dont see whats good about how many posts you have. whatever you do skoo will have most posts. dont worry if you think "special people" have 1000 posts cuz often they dont care about post count. you dont need ranks to be noticed.
Also im wondering.. well on last forum, spammers got a poo avatar with "big poo spammer boy" or something. Same thing going on here ?. ;)
Smeagle
20-09-2003, 01:27 PM
But then some people will spam just to get the spammer avatar...
Maybe if you say spammers don't get an avatar (or a sig), maybe that would discourage them
cadex

I would imagine the poo avatar will make an appearance when its needed.
my "rank" will change all the time I think, novelty title style.

i think you should make the spammers not allowed on for a while or something.
it's the communists I tell you!

whats wrong with commusism
its a great idea
in theory
just that the people who implemented it were corrupt, and not true commusists.
I was just talking crap,
but now that you mention it ...
Communism is a louzy idea,
it's just not made for the human way of thinking and living,
and no offence, but writing a perfect theory without having an eye on the pratical application is worth nothing.

yay for poo avatar.
But Smeagle, if people spammed to get it and they continued to spam, they would get banned. Another idea is to when they get poo avatar their post count gets reduced to 0 if thats possible. Would teach em a lesson !
Edit: w'dya know.

Man...I always thought it'd be cool to see what your rank on the message board was...cause then it'd motivate you to post more stuff, thus making the site more popular, thus more people coming, thus more money being made, thus...ummm...yeah...more money...it um equals more...power! Yeah, that's the ticket... ...I'll just uhhh...stop posting...here...now...

it is true that commusism will not work in todays modern world, because people are greedy, and want more than others.
who doesnt in this day and age?
in the time of lennin alot of people would have been happy to be equal, and settle for what they got, as it would have been fair

But there is a problem. Lets face it . If we do more work we get more money while other may not do as much work your money however gets shared out with them.
We can't all be rich and poor at the same time and this is why people against it.
People will never to put their greed aside and be equal . If that was to happen the world would have no problems.
I too believe we should DO everything equaly. But that wont happen in our world.

i think the commusism debate has reached a stalemate
as we both agree that it cant work with todays greed.

Communism works in theory I think, but it doesnt take into account greed, jealousy or envy.
Pity really...

i dun like theories
in theory everything works.
In theory you can fart in a jar to conserve energy
In theory i could be eating toilet paper
In theory so on...:(
Furry Vegetable
23-09-2003, 03:25 PM
Well, in theory you are of course correct.
But in practice everything seems to fall apart really.
I cant really flip over backwards and do a Kame-hame-ha.....but its nice to think so:rolleyes:

who is the head administrator of this board? the person who created this place? do they ever come here and post or anything? couldn't that person tell us the ranking system?

destrukto is the mod here but not the whole forum.
Weebl is the guy i think yourafter. He can't come on here everyday 24/7 as he is too busy with his animation and burning cheese products. But i know what you mean. Perhaps a PM to skoo/weebl will help but they are busy people.

Or we could just...not care.
Does it really matter that much what the ranking system is?
We'll find out eventually.
Just be patient! :p

Patience is a virtue, virtue is a grace, and grace is a dirty little communist that doesn't wash her face!
Thought it would apply seeing as we were talkin about communism earlier.
I think weebl comes on here once or twice a year, big occasion really.

Part of the fun or ranks is not knowing what comes next. Especially for higher posters. For all they they could be working towards a "Im posting too muc for my own good" rank.
