Hello, my name is AngryPaul.

I have (with aid of my girlfriend) decided to redecorate my bedroom. In its present state it is a mish-mash of blue, green, camaflogue, pine, and bare plaster, with a hint of flaky wallpaper due to damp. Gorgeous.

I have spent 4 hours of today throwing out my pap (a Paul Daniels Thats Magic set was a bit of a heart-string tugger) and it still looks no different, except a lot messier.

This clear out is due to the arrival of a new double bed for me. (w00t)

The ideas that have been battered about are that of a warmer, brighter mocha (or brown to us males) or maybe a terracota (colour of pots)

Below are some pictures of my room, any suggestions or warnings would be greatfully appreciated - also any zany decorating stories. ;)

you have a lot of crap.

i suggest doing 3 walls of with one lighter colour, and one with the same colour but a much darker shade. not much idea on colour though, it's down to personal preference

move to a bigger house and invest in some storage...

Paint it all bright orange, then paint big weebls all over the walls. You will never have to leave his awesome presence ever again! :notworthy

Apart from when you, you know, leave the room

On a serious note for a moment, it looks a bit dark - any dark/bold colour in there which is done on every wall will make it look even darker. Stick to a mainly light scheme, with just accents of dark colour. http://www.mycolour.com.au/ is fun to play with to help so long as you don't mind the Dulux theme

I agree with discodoris. If you do it terracotta or mocha you might end up feeling like it's really pokey.

I advise you to paint it bright pink... oh hang on, no i dont. I think something light, like ivory or cream with one mocha accent wall would look good. Or maybe just the chimney breast in Mocha.

I'd also invest in some serious storage. Your wardrobes could do with being a lot taller. ee through storage is good too.

If you decorate in mocha, light blue accesories should look nice...

That is all I have to say on that :D

Paint it all black. with black bed stuff and take out the mirror. I thought you vampires hated mirrors?
Seriously, i think a red wpuld be nice, but it would have to be light(not pink)

You need to get a rid of some things, which will be a bit hard, they need storage somewhere else. Like the long mirror propped up and the clutter by the wardrobe, I know that'd be hard, but at least you are redecorating.

Bit of a bump I know and it will seem like I've taken forever to finish.

However, 5 days of clearing and painting followed those previous pictures.

I ended up with this.....

Either it's a crappy camera or you really need a bit more colour in there, in my honest and extraordinarily important opinion :)
