Sony because they dominate the games market. Or at least they did... but Microsoft is clawing back. Damn you Microsoft!

Ow! I HATE iPods!
They are complete cons. Apple stole the Hard Drive MP3 Idea off Creative Labs. As so did panasonic etc...
Creative have EAX technology, so ha!

Uhh, I dunno if I can really put all my trust on any company's products. Sony is usually quality, but usually also horribly overpriced. I've had some minor problems with my Creative Lab's MP3 player and soundcard. My first Philips headphones were really good quality for their price tag but the new more expensive ones I bought were a bit disappointing.
Think I'm just gonna vote "other" because I don't really look at the brand when I buy stuff that much because I can't truly trust any of em.

This poll's a little pointless in most ways, because most electronic systems are the same. DVD players are a cracking example; there's a large group of DVD players running on the same set of generic hardware using the same generic firmware. Each of which has been rebadged, simply by showing the Alba or Goodmans logo on it.
Panasonic are one of the biggest players who do this; they license all of the technology off parent company Matsushita and simply use their massive brand name to make mega profits off it. Chances are your Matsui TV or whatever is simply a Panasonic telly with a different name on it.
Not impressed by my conspiracy-style outburst? The Panasonic Investor Relations site (http://ir-site.panasonic.com/) shows at the very bottom that everything Panasonic boils down to the Matsushita company.
A more obvious example is RAM sticks; you see products such as PNY RAM, Sony RAM, Cruicial RAM etc; but 90% of all RAM sticks are generally pumped out of the same two companies, probably Samsung and Micron.
Loads of companies do it; Medion is largely a Hewlett-Packard rebranding company, as are Cybercom, and other such companies. Companies just prey on the public's attitude that "expensive + well known" always equals quality.

You know, he DOES have a point actually. You see this with cars. There's the Ford Galaxy, and there's the VW Sharon. Completely the same, just different stickers.

With mp3 players, to be honest I can't be doing with hard drives. (I don't actually have one, but I have 2 opinions on them...)
1. Hard drives have moving parts and therefore are liable to skip when you are jogging/walking/breathing :p
2. According to Windows Media Player, all of my music totals up to about 16 and a half hours at just under 800MB. So who needs 40GB on an iPod? I'll just stick with a gigabyte flash drive type mp3 player thankyou.

apple because their design philosophy. jonathen ives is a great designer, simplicity and power.
sony in 2nd place, because they run windaz.
but you can't ignore people like microsoft who have made some pretty funky innovations.. and IBM and toshiba worked together on this new PS3 cell chip, that's quite a bit of gadgetry.
the people behind blu-ray are quite clever too. it's the pioneers that should be acknoledged, not the people who just use the technology and because you own one. who makes the bits in your puter? samsung make a hell of a lot of ram, they are cool
