Ahahaha... Bo' Rai Cho farts a lot. Hsu Hao looks like he's from the Village People. It makes me laugh.
My character's Frost. Who's yours?

what's going on?
what's Mkda?
I guess they're talking about Mortal Kombat Deadly Alliance
the name Scorpion still doesn't ring a bell around here ;)
I haven't played MKDA, but Scorpion was already my favourite character out of the old MK games

exqueeze me? baking powder? SCORPION?
why the hell is nobody talking sub zero here? SUB ZERO WAS THE BEST OF THE BEST OF THE GOD DAMN BEST IN ANY MORTAL KOMBAT GAME EVER.

Digga is correct.
Sub Zero was a legend. I can't believe he was defeated with a bucket of water in the film. That was seriously twat-like.
Suuuuub Zeeero!
Finish Him!
hehe...

Yes, Deadly Alliance.
Scorpion's ending's a shame. Sub Zero is also pretty cool. Ahaha. I'm funny. His second skin is better.
I also like Frost's second skin. It's all sexy. Boobs all over the place in that game... with their own physics!
i do like this game, and raiden of course is the best character
but, i would like to know if anyone knows a cheat for getting more coins as my attention span doesn't allow me to play the game through 30,000 times to unluck a new character.
ooh look a butterfly....

Go to www.gamefaqs.com colonel, they'll prolly have a bug or cheat there.
Kung Lao is my character. Quite frankly, MK1,2 and 3 were shit. All the characters were the same apart from their special moves, but MK:DA does take real skill to play and the martial arts are amazing. I can't play any other fighting game since that. Not even Tekken 4!

Two words, one number.
SOUL CALIBER 2
MKDA is good, but SC2 is so much better...the GC version is the best, Link rocks, Heachi for PS2 is just like Teken, and Spawn...who the hell is he?

I agree, while MKDA is fun for a rental weekend, it has no where near the replay value or straight up fun that Soul Calibur II has.

SOUL Calibur is for blood-hating sissies. MK rocks my sock, mates!
We need more violence on tv.

Or it could be for old school arcade fighter fans.
Why does a game need red pixels spilling out of their character to be good?

It's a realism thing? Why SHOULDN'T a game have blood? It's just red pixels like you say and it adds to the realism. I feel cheated when I play a game for the first time with big swords and someone gets a sword dragged through them and they just grunt and stumble. That dude just got cut in half for gods' sakes.

It's not a realism thing, it's more of a style-thing. Mortal Kombat has always been about realism? Sort of. They added blood, yeah, that's real. But four armed beasts and a man who can steal your soul is hardly realism at all.
Soul Calibur, as I said, is an arcade style fighter. It's not MEANT to be realistic, it's mean to entertain.
But I get what you're saying, and I wish developers would simply add the option of having blood on or off. That would make things a lot simpler, and people a lot happier.

It's one thing to introduce fantastical elements such as Goro and Scorpion or whatever, but it's silly to count lack of blood as a fantastical element.
I personally much prefer realism to arcade action. It's the way games are going now, and I like it.

No, Soul Calibur is for people that think playability is more important than some squirting blood. Altough I must say MKDA was quite an improvement over the old games it still isn't much compared to the best fighting game ever made: SOUL CALIBUR 2

This is not MKDA vs. SC2!
They are different games. Both fighting games, yes. But each has their good points and bad points. Both are enjoyable (to me). You can't argue with the pretty blonde Hylian boy with a sword. You also can't argue with ICE DAGGERS IN YOUR THIGHS!
....Playing....

We CAN argue, and thats what I intend to do ;)
Nah just messing, MKDA and SC2 are both good games (yet SC2 still owns MK...).
Blood is a bonus in games. It doesent effect the gameplay. If your going to judge games on how much VILOENCE is in them, then...you must have some pretty average games in your video game collection. Why do you want blood in games? Do you think it makes games special? Would you choose a viloent yet pretty crud game, like Die Hard Vendetta over a superb top of the range game (Zelda for instance) without the blood?
There was no blood in Teken (unless you count that pathetic red stain thingy that evarprates within 2 seconds), yet it was a great game. There was no blood in the Soul Calibar games, yet it is a great game. There is blood in MKDA, its a GOOD game. Blood doesent affect the gameplay, as I have said eariler.

And white daggers in thighs doesent effect gameplay either;)

MKDA is better than Tekken anyway. Much more depth with the combat system and the moves look nice and neat whereas Tekken looks almost clumsy.
And I never said blood was essential. It's just nice, I don't see a reason NOT to put any in. People bleed when they hit each other, fact of life.

Yeah but what I'm arguning about is that some guy (dont remember what he's called) said that he felt CHEATED about the way theres no blood in SC2. And I'm saying that blood dosent effect gameplay now I think we should get back on the subject...
MKDA is good!
Rhaeven
21-09-2003, 02:02 PM
That was me.
And I didn't say I felt cheated by SC2 because I haven't played it.
I said I felt cheated when games with lots of violence with pokey swords (like Soul Blade and the Final Fantasy Games) don't put in any blood or gore at all. Because it's stupid.

because throwing up 20 liters of blood through your neck hole then getting up and fighting like nothing happen... is realistic...

Personally I think MDKA is awesome. Not because its better than something else or has better gameplay than whatever, but because I have more fun, fun being the key word here, playing it than I do other fighting games.
I personally do not enjoy SCII. Why? It doesn't light my fire, I don't know the characters, none of them are that exciting or unique in my opinion, and I didn't grow up on the characters like I did with MK. MK goes back to 1990, while SC is still a fairly recent thing, I remember being 5 years old and popping quarters into the MK machine at the arcade...
Its most likely these fond memories that make me enjoy MKDA more than SCII. Not the blood, not the violence, but the characters and I do enjoy the different fighting stances, and the hidden videos are hilarious. Who has seen Cooking with Scorpion?
To answer your question SAG (sexy AG), I would have to say my character is Kenshi, than I guess Sub Zero because he rocks the house, and Scorpion.
