As expected, this semi-final is off to a start at a similar level to where the previous rounds were finishing, with our two battle hardened (and absolutely fabulous) contestants squaring off for another grueling bout.

kernal makes the first move, with carful lighting and a great facial pose that can only come from years of solid practice with facial expressions. Just what move will gopherboy try as his opening gambit?

After a lengthy pause gopherboy makes his opening move, an upper body shot, going for arty lighting as kernal did. Such a balance between these two in ability and style.

With much of the first day already gone, it will be interesting to see where the walkoff goes from here, to be honest this commentator didn't feel the contenders would need full use of the time available to wow the audience and this will be a show to remember.

Hmm, the styles used by both contestants seemed to centre in on the themes of mystery and seriousness. Good use of the darker elements has definitely been displayed by both of these handsome chaps!

I am definitely loving this. The skills of gopherboy and kernal are evenly matched thus far, and this could be a long battle with a lot of headaches for the voters!

Ok a few moves have been in quick succession, with a heavy use of style and pure pizzaz displayed on both contestants' parts, kernal with the dark sunglasses hiding his eyes so we cannot gaze unto his soul, very deep, mysterious, a certain... i don't know, je ne c'est quoi?*

gopherboy comes back with his painfully stylish suit and funky wallpaper combo produces a rollicking retort, showing very well a hardman image similar to that of bugsy callester in the 1995 Northern England regional walkoff finals.

After this, kernal proceeded to remove the glasses and apply a suit of his own, displaying a friendly smile, he isn't some kind of hardman, he wants to be your friend, look, wouldn't YOU buy a car from this nice young man?

Good walk off so far. At this point, I think my vote goes for the Kernal.

The contestants are virtually equal in the looks department, and the poses are great, not to mention the clothing style. But so far, I think Kernal's picture style and use of filters are keeping him ahead, but just barely. It's still anyone's game.

Stupidly, i've only just checked that you couldnt actually see "little gopherboy" in the mirror.

Im not giving up - I just going to the pub and as fate has it, i wont be back till after 12. I would write something in my blog but im really not very interesting. Plus im illiterate (sp?).
