HL2 and Steam Help!

I made a thread on Steam asking for help a while back, but it still will NOT work!

I have heard from a friend that it is possible to use Xfire instead of Steam. Is this possible? I am hpoing so, because i am dying to play CS with you all.

Please help me!

Erm, the short answer is no and the long answer is noooooooooooooooo...

If you want us to help you, it would be a good idea to give us some idea of what is actually going on, we havent read your thread on the steam forums, and if it was similar to this than you wont have got any help. Give us information, just saying it doesnt work doesnt make anyones job easy.

Anyway; when ever i create a Steam account, it just says that no such account exsists.

Verified it through email? Firewall settings? Got a mate to make an account for you?

Well I apologise if my attempt at a light hearted comment came down a bit heavy, so anyway, have you made sure you have allowed steam through your firewall? have you tried a re-install?

When you try to create one or when you attempt to sign into one you believe you created?
