Hey all u amazin drummers out there. A reeel gd frend of mine introduced me to this website and in the end, @ the beginning of the summr, I got a stage master kit with Sabian AAX cymbals for £620 (in the drumworld sale). its not a high street name, but trust me, they are the best and cheapest drumkits you can get.

I've got an 'Osan' set, but it's not my favourite. I'm beginner so I wouldn't really know.. but I guess Pearl is nice

I have a Pearl export. Got it for $500 w/ all the hard cases, two extra power toms, tonnes of mounting/ other hardware, about4 or 5 cymbals and a double bass pedal (which i stupidly sold). How about that? But it's really big and loud, ah well. BTW, sorry about the double post...kinda new.
My drummer used to play a Yamaha YD Kit with Paiste 502 cymbals. Great live kit for the money and also recorded quite nicely too. Allthough we did have to swap for a better snare in the studio.

I've got a really crappy session pro kit at home :p but I got Sabian cymbols and they're pretty decent.
In the band we've got a Yamaha custom maple.. £500 for the snare alone! Worth it though when you hear it.. shame I don't get to play it... I ain't the drummer :(

My kit is a Tama Rockstar. It's quite old now, I've had it since I was 14, but it's still in good condition and can take the good hammering I regularly give it.

flippin heck this thread is so old i posted a vote when i used to be here. ages ago!
im using a yamaha kit at home and a old pearl kit at practice. both arent too bad. pearl desperately needs new heads though. and i really want a double bass pedal. are they really worth it? its my sis' dum kit at home and she wont let me put one on. just because she doesnt want it! annoying.
zero defex.

What do roadies and drummers have in common?
They both hang around with musicians!
How old is this thread again?
Yamaha are the best because flogging molly use them and I love their drum sound.

My brother has a Yamaha stage custom pro job. One of his snares cost him £400! that's half of what he payed for the actual thing!
But he's got some good cybols and lots more bits and bobs that are on it now.

Don't forget the double bass pedal!
And to put people out of their spelling misery it's zidjian.
I have a yamaha rydeen kit and it's actually very nice. Much better than my friend's pearl.
My school has various parts of a peavey kit and it's possibly the worst drum kit in existance.

pah.. if you ask me the guy who owns that is just compensating for something.. ;)
Quality not quantity is the most important thing :)
*this coming from someone owning a cheapo Session Pro kit and has to use sellotape to repair holes in her drum skins*
Hey, quality comes at a price :p

AAAahhhhhh, after many long years, i'm back, how's everyone doing? Ok, just got a new zildjian special dry light ride, 20". A thing of true beauty. Exquisitly dark, ideal for jazz! Unfortunately, same kit, but a different set up.
BY THE WAY! Yes, DW drums ARE amazing, i can't decide what new kit i want to buy...and has anyone heard of the new peral reference series? AMAZING, first kit to use more than one kind of wood in a single tom, check 'em out...
