Some or you may or may have not heard about this 'recruitment' game.

Download (http://aaotracker.4players.de/downloaddb.php?cat=3)

You play against other human players as in Counter-Strike, and is a very realistic shooter from what i have played so far. The training is extremely authentic and all the weapons look beautiful.

I have not yet had a chance to play on the servers, as my computer has gone for upgrades and repairs. I am usually on Xfire, my tag being neonporcupine.

Also you will need a register an account on Americas Army (www.americasarmy.com)

Please note that the download is around 3-4 hours and if you are on dial up then i suggest this game a big no-no (38 hour download!!!!).

Have fun playing, and if enough people enjoy it then maybe we could start a clan.

I play that every now and then. Not many people like it but it's a good game if you like realism (e.g. a grenade can, yes, KILL YOU IN ONE).
Trainings a bit poo but once you get passed that the servers are good. More team based then other games as in if you don't stick with a team your chances drop by a lot. Great game if you can be bothered with the download time :weebl: (do it over night easier)

I downloaded this last weekend. It is officially the best free game ever, graphics to rival the newer FPS, a ranking system (which was down in the last few days :(), constant updates, and a plan to add vehicles into the game into the near future, and its pretty realistic. Also, no-ones a spacktard either, which is good. The medical training is very :eng101: , with 3 bits where you have to sit in classrooms and take tests, but the Escape and Evasion section of the special forces training is cool and not too hard.

It takes a bit of getting used to, because killing your teamates, or even shooting at them, loses you honour, which is essentially the ranking/level system. If you can put up with the not-so-subtle attempt to make you join the army, its a solid 9/10 game, based purely on the fact that is free AND fun.

I'm almost at the required level to play as a special forces member, which is cool, because you can used customised (to an extent) weapons.

I've played it a couple of times, it can be fun, and I love the training system and ranking system, it's a great addition to an FPS which should be implemented into more popular ones like CS, at least then we wouldn't get noobs asking how to defuse the bomb :p
