A new Dust map, Port, Inferno AND a new CT Model are all out now!
I'm going to be in CS:S heaven (or hell depedning on how well I play) this weekend! It is a pity I have spend most of the weekend holiday shopping & packing so the only time I'll get to really try these babies out is late at night after the pub and full of beeeeeeer!
Anyone tried them out yet?

Damn it would have to happen now wouldnt it, when I have an exam tomorrow morning and a party tomorrow night, damn you sibling you win this time. The new ct model isnt really completly new just a re-jinked version of the current one apparently, but with a deserty type skin, still looks nice though.

The boat is shite, there are no cover points.
Cts can also sneak in and defuse without you noticing.
Inferno is great, but my pc cant handle it with 20 men on it :'(

Inferno's class.
Port however, is a bit iffy. It usually resorts to awpwhoring, and is very very easy for T's.

You make me sad :(
But in fairness I was looking for somewhere that had cover ... not easy. I think the best place was a rubbish circular thing which would have been easy to flank.

When I first saw inferno, I thought "Oh god, what the fuck have they done?"
But it actually plays really well :) I haven't played port with people yet but there seem to be a lot of pointless bits...
Edit: Although the new CT skin is barely noticable, a slightly different shade and orangeish goggles from what I can see. Also people keep complaining about inferno's FPS but I get about 70fps on my 6600GT which is hugely bottlenecked by my motherboard...Mind you I used omnitoolz to get rid of all the fancy bits so it looks a bit crappy but I don't want the scenery distracting me :p
Also the mapname cfg files are useful, I was having to write huge scripts in the eventscripts plugin which has the worst "language" ever devised, this is much nicer, I just create a cfg file for say, scoutzknives.cfg saying sv_gravity 150 and then have one for game_end.cfg (which is a feature of eventscripts) saying sv_gravity 800 :)

Inferno is very pretty and I just need to get used to it. Port is massively open and is there's a really nasty sniping spot, although like in Dust2 there is a point from spawn where you can see which way the enemy is heading.
The boat bomb site does seem ludicrously open but there MUST be some way of covering it. The map designers are not that stupid...I've already found one potential place to cover it that no-one will suspect and even when they do it will be a right pain!
There seems to be a bug in Port for me. The bomb doesn't flash when I'm in the drop zone. Anyone else had this?
Also last night, after many beers, I discovered an amazing thing! Neither T's nor CT's can swim! LOL!
Finally, is it just me or do the new CT's look like they need to put on some weight? They look like freaky matchstick men from the distance, especially from the side!
Right, time for more beers. Who knows what amazing things I will discover later!
