Right I was playing Cs:S the other day on my favorate server when a person called [Myg0t] Fayte joined the game,At first i thought it was a normal guy our team was getting owned by this guy i thought to myself this guy is good or he is blatently hacking suddenly this guy flew past me and a stupily great speed and instantly shot me in the head.
This was when i realised he was blatently speed hacking and aimbotting the abuse started been threw at him then he done something i had never seen before he took controll of admin and banned half of the players on the server. Then 4 people with the same tag joined the game and they were also hacking they went on and on banning people.I have came across a few of these guys before but never in such numbers.
What im wondering how did these guys manage to get in controll of The server?
It has precations like type !admin to alert admins of cheaters i know all the admins quite well.
I wish i had got a screenie of this but i didn't think of it at the time.
Have you guys came across this clan at anytime? They are majour hackers and anymore information on them would be appretiated ive been playing css for 5 months now and i have never seen the likes of this.

I guess that using these Steam emulators you could maybe fake a steam ID, as long as that user wasn't online. However, they'd have to find out the ID first.

[edit] Actually it wouldn't be that difficult, you can type status into console and find out steam IDs. Although I haven't heard of being able to spoof the ids, it's not impossible.

Yeah Alot of them has visited this server in the past it is a very popular server and always full and there is almost always an admin around. i read somewhere there has been an admin hack realeased recently not sure if it true though.

Don't make me slap you. If all they wanted to do was point out weaknesses then they wouldn't join severs and ruin everyone's game and then trash talk about much everyone else sucked.

Also when my server has banned them they've stay gone. And what do you suggest, we let them stay on ruining the game indefintly?

What we need is a name editor that doesn't let anyone with [Myg0t] in there name join the server

Heh, there's certain commands you can use to add their names using Mani mod (for css) so it blocks anyone with Myg0t tags- although they'd probably get the picture and come on without a tag.
They also have multiple steam-ids, but you can also I.p ban them, this doesn't mean you can stop them (Salty Samurai)
They say they do have fun, but this also points out the weaknesses to Valves admins. This is also bad because they find the joy in finding the problems that valve haven't noticed.

Well, thankfully they dont seem to move outside of CS to often, so I havent met one of these 'people'. But why they think that its fun to hack, and 'own' everyone because of the aforementioned hacks is beyond me, what we need is an auto-IP trace, legal device that sues them automatically over the interweb for breach of the EULA (patent pending, my idea, mine!).

Afaik, Myg0t don't hack to cause anybody distress, they just hack for the sake of hacking as an accomplishment. They hack to outdo eachother and that's all there is to it, they don't give a fuck about you or anything else tbh.

I actually joined the myg0t forums just to see wtf was wrong with them.

It's safe to say that we > them.

Most of them (80% say) are illiterate kids who download all these "hacks" and run around taking screenshots, producing "rage collages" which they then post on the forum to recieve comments such as "lol njice col" or "omg u suck lol"

So just talk to them in long words, don't insult them or whatever, in fact ignore them, they'll get bored as it doesn't make a good collage and they'll probably dissapear.

I'm hoping that VAC2 will have an option to report hackers via rcon. It's meant to scan running processes, so surely if there's a blatant hacker and I report them via console, it can run a scan, check against some sort of database of files (like that site you find on google if you search for a process name) and then have someone review the list at Valve. This would make it much easier and quicker to update definitions and could lock down "public" hacks altogether, reducing the amount of hackers a huge amount.

When Vac2 acually comes out about 20% of Cs:s players will be banned or something like that. If a [ Myg0t ] comes on a 24 man server there is always going to be a few retards who insult them anyway and fuel them on no matter how many times you tell them to be quiet..
And if we do ignore them and go spectate all they will probaly do is wait till only myg0t is left and then race each other round the map until time runs out really making people quite annoyed or sit and say how much they love myg0t......

Well on my server we've had a few who've kept coming back every time they're banned on a new ID, so I relayed a message across to keep playing normally, don't get annoyed or I'll kick.

So we just played on as usual and actually killed the guy after a couple of rounds, who promptly left. :)

I like Myg0ts, hackers on public servers don't really bother me, it's a cool challenge to see if you can kill the hacker.

I have a feeling a lot of people currently are using what would be defined "cheats"... on CSS I get pre-shot a scary amount (where somebody's already shooting where you're gonna be before you run round a corner) and players who you can see are blatently complete beginners running round corners and headshotting 3 people... it could be luck, but I'm sure VAC2'll sort this one out.

When my 1.6 clan played CSGN Prem, we played a clan called 0wnage.on who were extremely skilled (or so we though). We got quite friendly with them, I was oped in their IRC channel, a few of them were oped in ours, we played regular matches with them and around 60-70% of the time they'd kick our arses. One day, for no particular reason, we installed cheating death on one of our clan servers, informed them and asked for a PCW... they said they couldn't, which was weird, they'd never turned a PCW down before, their CL said they were training but their server was devoid of them. So we put in a request for an official they couldn't turn down, still not really thinking anything of it. They come on our server.... 5 players are banned as soon as they join. They apoligise saying they had a stupid script (pistol script, illegal but not really a "hack" just saves your finger)... we unban them, they come back on, we play the match and they are complete and utter noobs, unable to aim, barely able to play... and suddenly it dawns on us, all this time they'd been subtly hacking, aimbots that find heads when you press a button, ESP rather than wallhack, auto rate drop, recoil reduce and anti-flash... they were of course promptly banned from the league. I have a feeling this is gonna happen in Source, a lot of kiddys who've been having fun with their hacks are either gonna become very shit or get banned with the coming of VAC2. I cant wait :).

If you can't play the game, don't resort to cheating! There's a thing called practice and learning, you know.

I've seen a really funny hacking match. It was simple as 2 clans who like to have a laugh agreeing that anything goes in a match they were playing, best hacks win... I watched on HLTV, funniest game I've ever seen, the bomb was always planted within about 2 seconds

Agreed, an old first person shooter me and my dad used to play had a HUGE number of headshots.
Until know I had though "oh its my fault I cannot get frequent headshots with FULLY AUTOMATIC ASSAULT WEAPONS" what was I thinking *sigh*.

I have never seen any of these super cheats, I want too though so I can type lots of Matrix and Superman quotes while laughing my head off.

There are some uber hax out there... and sadly not all of it's technically hacking, my mate got his hands on a rediculous config (nearly a meg)... he could do pretty much anything but fly :/

Bah, I think I deleted the screenshots but me and a few of the guys from the steampowered.com forums once had our own myg0t stalker. He joined a server whenever we did and we consistantly owned him. If only I still had the screenshots, mac10 to the head, naded quite a few times, glocked, knived many times...and SMGed by a guy who had just come back from being AFK who previously had a score of 0-5.

Ah, and a screenshot of him admitting he got owned by us.

Best advice is to just ignore them.
