I came across this: www.laggfree.com it has a guide on how to lower your servers ping. I tried it, it worked like a charm. got my peers ping down from the 150s to 25!
Also if you are interested, i made a config file that you can use to quickly host a server and play on it too (since running a dedicated server and playing it lags to shit - atleast for me anyway)
The rates are set up for my computer, but feel free to edit them to fit your computer.
