I know exactly what you mean.
The "damp" smell you get after its rained on dusty pavements. The best part of rain.

Lol... Storms are ace any time of year. My lights keep dimming with the lightening!

I've always found that weird. I think the lights dim in respect for the lightning.
Its some deep physics bond between all light photons*
*I'm just guessing

I do not appreciate summer storms.
One of them killed New Orleans.

Thats hardly fair. That was a freak. Cant really be classed as a summer storm. Summer storms are gentle and smell nice :)

It was like strobe lighting an hour ago...Every 3 seconds there'd be 5 or 6 flashes in rapid succession. Hurts the eyes :(

Theres one on top of me now. The sunset and rain are staining thw hole sky a beautiful yellow. I've got pictures, I'll link to my DeviantArt if this thread doesnt die.
where do you live? this is just starting here in doncaster, and to be quite honest, im finding it hard to keep my bum here.
i always have the same dillemma with storms. I want to watch them, but my house is in an awkward position, so if i want to watch properly, i'll have to get wet. i'll probably be getting wet soon.
does anyone else feel like nun in a carrot field when it starts thunder and lightening????

by any chance do ye know which way the storm is blowing, east or west?
Mittwoch

East I think. Looks like a cold front spanning the length of the UK.

Storms are gun, but not when you're playing rugby. I only got half an hours training 'cos of the storm. it was fun to watch though.

east, hmm im in the south east, well, london, maybe we'll get a storm :D all we have now is DARK, it was dark at half 8. that makes me sad.
i've allways loved storms, when i was little i used to go and sit in the garden when it rained. my parents are neglectful and let me most of the time.

we have had storms almost daily here this summer.
normally i love thunderstorms! (they are a definate turn-on ;) )
but here in savannah there is really crappy drainage so the streets and parking lots flood and if it rains everyday it is hard to get some things done.

You wouldn't get your £5000 if your modem's upstairs, plugged into a regular socket like mine.
Wait.. Ah CRAP! *runs off*
Fake Edit: Yes I know, the storm is long gone.. I just had to get this in >.>

:D @ Lancer.
And to Tratos, my bar came with a guarantee, which I kept, in one of my strange intelligent moments. It says everything plugged into it is insured for 5 grand. \o/

I walked home through jesmond last night just as the storm was at it's height over newcastle. It was fucking amazing and i got to chat to a fittie because of it. on the flipside, my jacket still hasn't dried, as neither have my jeans...
