Well, you could try messing around with contrasting... Or some other way of making the features bolder and more visible.

Yeah, but now they have to live in an apartment, with a, uh ....comedic twist, hmm... an ex-major league baseball coach, reincarnated into a stapler! And they'll have to deal with every day problems, like buying a loaf of bread for a sammich, but it'll be funny! eg:

Stapler Jones: Shyaadaaapp wich' 'cha!
Jones Staples Jonti's lips shut
