1) Get firefox and no mario music will ever fill your precious little ears.
2) Assuming you are using IE, goto Tools, Advanced tab and untick the "play sounds in web pages" check box. Et voila.
3) Go to another forum that like that sort of shit.

The games can still be played in the Bin.
I indeed recommend FF for it as there will be no music or Marios.
They will be deleted once in a while, but you can always start again, which is easy with these games.
Also option 2 by Chavvy may be handy if you use IE.

i'm guessing it's because they push the hello i'm new threads straight down to the bottom of the page wheras i'm guessing they want the welcome threads to stay up longner so people can feel truely welcomed

because it makes the person feel welcome and give the place a friendly atmosphere. and it also means that they do read the faqs which they may not have if it was not posted in the thread

Neither do game threads, because that is not what the forums are about. If you feel that you must play these games, I'm sure there are thousands of forums that will let you play to your hearts content. These forums just aren't one of them
